Is this the beginning of the end for boxing on UK TV?

    We have ITV4 and SKY SPORTS covering fights but ITV4 only have a small handful of fights and that is all domestic level and Sky only deal with PPV and Friday fight night which is all domestic level but where are we as brits going to see all the fights from abroad.

    I refuse to sit through Eurosport commentary to watch some of these fights.

    There must be a saviour out there. This is a real downer for boxing having setanta get pulled off air.

    what is our alternatives ?
    We cant even see European fight anymore unless Sky buys them and even then the undercards are not live and are only shown as highlights which is bollocks...Setanta used to show everything from start to finish most times.

    Going to try and make the Cotto Pacquiao fight but yeah its a sad time for fans in the uk, going to miss some great fights. Streamin will be as good as it gets.

    you'd think someone would set up a dedicated boxing channel at this stage. If there is a dedicated golf channel, surely there should be a market for a boxing channel??

    yep, I was looking at going to that one myself, it would be a brilliant debut for me for a Vegas boxing bill, that's for sure...

    Stop bitching you lot, British coverage though to the mid 80s was nothing compared today. The glass is very much half full....

    Once you have done Las Vegas for a big fight gasman you will be addicted!!! it is awesome.......hoping to do Cotto v Pac Man too.. :good

    I watched the hangover with the wife, it was funny as ****. But, then a stag weekend in amsterdam is as crazy as any:rofl

    i wouldnt be hopeful of espn showing any boxing.i sent them a lengthy email yesterday enquiring their boxing coverage and this was the reply i got.

    I got the same message as did a few others, it is just an automated response, we need to identify the proper email addresses and then blitz them with emails. I think Longcount is compiling a list of email contacts.

    Yeah, I was thinking Wed-Sun trip to Vegas for that one, I am just waiting for the thing to be confirmed. That particular bout would be brilliant.
