Great time to be a fan.:yep Lucas-Prov, Crawford-Dulorme, Gonzalez-GRJ, GGG-Murray, Garcia-Peterson, and Mayweather-Pacquiao, of course! Anyone of these or all of these can provide for some unexpected upsets!

    Mayweather vs Pac
    GGG vs Murray
    Canelo vs Kirkland
    Matthysse vs Provodnikov
    Kovalev vs Pascal
    Rosado vs Stevens
    Wlad vs Jennings
    Povetkin vs Perez
    Thurman vs Guerrero

Those are the fights on my radar, and I have to admit.... for it only being Feb, it is one hell of a line up.

I will say I am pleasantly surprised the year has turned out good and it makes my negative attitude a few weeks ago seem pretty lame. Lots of fun fights coming this year.

Barrera vs Morales was fought February 19th 2000. Two pound for pound greats, both in their primes, having one of the greatest wars ever. That was a great start to a year. May and Pac to past prime ATGs squaring off in the twilight of their careers, mid to late thirties, it could be nice but I'm not getting my hopes up. Was Roy Jones and Bernard Hopkins fighting Joe Calzaghe in their forties great for boxing? Was Jones Jr vs Hopkins 2 in 2010 the fight everybody wanted to see?

I'm glad the fight is happening. I didn't think it would. But I'm not over the moon about it.

Maybe, he's in negotiations with GGG for May? GGG has a TBA slot there. Cotto needs to fight someone by then or be stripped of the title.

I was pumped back in 2002. Barrera/Morales II, Lewis/Tyson, and De La Hoya/Vargas were scheduled for the early part of that year. They all got postponed for various reasons, though.

This year looks pretty awesome so far.
