i've said before some on here havn't got a clue,if you check out the old fight films of robinson,moore,ali almost any of them they were all at it.it was called tying a man up and considered legitimate.the thing is hatton has only really employed it in a couple of fights.on saturday castillo did it as much as hatton.

Actually the rest of your post is very good. I just think you need to re think the end sentence. Hatton is worse as he doesn't mix it up, that is his constant gameplan, where as guys like Hopkins and Duran would not do so for such extended periods of time

Hatton you say has only started using that style the last 2 fights did you say. BULL****.

he has used this style since with Tszyu,Muassa,Urango,Collazo and Castillo. thats 5 fights he has been using the hit once move in to create no distance then wrap up my man like im ***** as folk.

Duran lets his hands go and has had some great fights unlike Ricky.
anyone remember the Leonard trilogy was that anywhere near like what Hatton fights like.

Well, from here Calzaghe-Kessler is more exiting than any fight for many years.

Another one waiting to happen that I am excited about is Pac-Valero.. That will be good!

Cotto-Hatton would also be a really good fight.

There are plenty of great fights waiting to happen. The only difference now in relation to earlier is that if you are american HW is not is compelling right now. But that is it. Apart from that boxing is looking great!

Some of you guys must not be very bright when it comes to reading comprehension.
If you read into my post, it insinuates that the dirty tactics employed by Hatton are childs play compared to experts like Duran and Hopkins who made a career out of clinching, elbowing, butting, and low blowing.

Some of you guys seem are clueless to the fact that some of the very best fighters in history, clinched, held, elbowed, butted, lowblowed, etc.......

Again, nowhere in my prior post am I comparing Hatton's skill level to any of the greats of the past.
.....I'm comparing the nasty side of Hatton to the greats of the past, and let me let some of you guys on some old news......Roberto Duran was as nasty a SOB as there's ever been, and in fact, his first fight with Ray Leonard was full of holding and clinches!!!

Did some of you guys miss it?????
Ricky Hatton hit castillo with plenty of punches which led to a body shot KO. Last I checked, he did't take Castillo to the mat and made him submit!!!
