Is this the greatest jab ever thrown?

The fighter there was Ossie Ocasio that Holmes was blasting. You should look up Buster Douglas vs Mike Williams. Buster twice drops Williams with strong power shotgun jabs. And then finishes Williams with a similar combo to the one he would KO Tyson with years later. Mike Williams was thought to maybe be something at that point and many thought he was going to beat Douglas..

A Welter/Jr Middleweight named Simon Brown dropped Terry Norris with the nastiest jab I ever saw. I wasn't sure Terry was gonna beat the count .

 

Nobody else think Ocasio added a bit of acting to the last jab no ?????

Bruno KOed some of his early opponents with his jab as far as I can remember .Very powerful weapon that jab!

 

Yeah that’s a good call, that jab I remember sent Norris wobbling to the canvas and I think it was in round 1!!! Brown DESTROYED Norris on that night, it was either a KO4 or KO5. Norris was put out!!! I was stunned.

In the rematch Norris put on a masterclass though and boxed Simon’s ears off. But man he sure did level Norris in that first fight.

 

Tommy Morrison scored a nasty knockout with a jab.

 

Vitali backed Adamek's up with a very stiff jab and wobbled him big time. That was one of the most shockingly one sided title fights in recent memory.

 

Ray Mercer put Larry Holmes on spaghetti legs in round one of their fight with a great jab. Ironic since Holmes is the master jabber and would go on in that fight to paste Mercer with jabs and every other punch in the book, dominating Ray and pulling a big upset. But Ray did shake him with a big jab in round 1.

 

Yet another reason I think prime Holmes has at least a 70% chance of beating prime Tyson, and a 99% chance of beating Tokyo Tyson.

Foreman knocked one of his earlier tomato cans cold with what certainly looked to me like a jab, although as I recall Lampley referred to it as a hook.

In the Bobby Hitz fight George herds the guy into the corner from center ring with two or three swings of the battering ram, then when the guy covers up (presumably thinking he's momentarily safe) George hits him on the top of the head with an "overcut" and drops him like a sack of potatoes.

 

Terry Norris had that Asswhipping coming for awhile. He had started to believe his press clippings. He was a destroyer especially again Welterweights moving up. Norris was a talented boxer but his chin was made of fine China.
