Yes he 'felt his opponent out' at least once too often there when he was down, and in doing so 'helped' his opponent out of the ring. Not quite as moidorous a puncher as the caller would have us believe though :-(
I agree with you in that Danza hit his opponent while he was down - but that's the ref's job to get in between them.
Pure middleweight? Tough call. A lot of the heavy punchers from MW had their best years at other weight classes. If going by record only, maybe Ketchel, but it's tough to say because I've never seen any actual footage.

Stanely was one to watch there is some footage of him he destroyed Zale and was known for going up in weight and knocking out folk ....If my senses are right though the man who wins this is Julian Jackson.
Tony danza, a good guy but r u kidding with the hardest puncher ever at 160? Jack Dempsey, Jake Lamotta, Marcel Cerdan, Tony DeMarco, Tony Zale, Julian Jackson, Gerald McLelland, James Toney, Roy Jones Jr, even kelly Pavlik, those names don't say anything to you? 4 Chrissake!
Pretty sure the OPs nomination of Danza was just a pisstake mate. Your list above is a good one :good
