He also does weights 5 days a week at the gym.. Thanks

i dont think there is a problem, if he is a begginer he will get some muscle soreness, but if he is able to do the exercises and all the training then he is ok to train. He is a young guy so there is no real issues for health risk and if he keeps the training up he will lose some of that weight and the training will become easier.

he might find things like burpess hard because he is a big guy, maybe he should work into exercises like that. Start of doing sets of 10 and build on it.
The training will do him only good.

Thanks for the reply I guess I was just worrying to much
After doing that first program (B) and boxing specific training and gym at night he was laid out on the lounge for most of the day being sore but the
Done 300 sprints 50m sprints then walk back and repeat and just done the boxing specific training today seems to begoing ok

At 140kgs I'd be seriously worried about his knees if he's doing burpees.

    He's 19 and weighs 308lbs. He's fat.

I agree with Primate, some of the things suggested or he's already doing (sprints) he shouldn't be doing.

He should cut down on his calories and start doing some cardio, probably would drop a lot of weight really quick i'd say 30 lbs in a month if hes that big.

This is one of the main things I am worried about

Mate seems a bit hash but is true I give him props for doing this and changeing his life for the better in the the last 3 weeks he's lost 7 kg and seems determined to keep at it.

Just want to point out that there are plenty of health risks for a young person from an injury standpoint, I'm guessing you're referring to heart problems and the like though.

Some people seem to be all or none people... exercise should be progressive, I'd be concerned if it was my mate as well. I'd encourage him to vary his training and include heavy resistance training exercises so he at least has a bit more protection from injury. Doing sprints and burpees at 140kg is asking for trouble.

yes i was refering to heart issues and thngs like that.

it doesnt matter if you are 140kg or 70kg there is always risk of getting an injury, like tearing a muscle or doing a knee. I know some skinny guys who have bad knees. Getting a minor injury is the risk you take when you participate in a contact sport. Should that hold you back from training or competing. No.
I think the cons outweigh the pros if you train. He could sit at home and play his playstation or he can get of his ass and do some boxing training.
