True to an extent, I'd like it to be done carefully and progressively until the weight is lower and the strength is higher ideally. Realistically I understand that a 140kg kid isn't going to be too clued up on the human body and periodisation. Someone who is new to exercise and is that size is at an increased risk of injury, and a minor injury isn't what I'm worried about.
I agree this kid may have no idea about training because he is just beggining and i also agree he should build up to it. But this kid wouldnt be training at the pace you or i could train at. He is training at the pace of a 140kg begginer which i assume is pretty slow. I dont think he is at a real big risk of injury. The kid needs to use his brains, if he feels an injury or some soreness, lay of a bit for a few days then get back into it. All i will say to this kid is you cant train hard with out rest days to recover, take a rest day when you need one because that is when your body is making improvements when you give it time to recover.
