Im 5'7 1/2 71kg this morning ive boxed at 70kgs the past 4 years which im not ripped at. I really want to drop down and get to 64 for the nationals in the new year. Is this to much weight to lose? Everyone seems to think so
IDK, what is that 6kg, about 13-14 lbs? How old are you? youre weight will want to go up naturally as you age. Youve got time, Im not qualified with boxing but I would say try to loose as much as you can early now and see how strong you feel at the weight and give yourself enough time in advance before the national starts so you can decide where you will fight at. You dont want to be too weak to perform well and not have time to adjust at the last minute.
Depends on your bodyfat percentage and the amount of subcutaneous water you have.Easiest and fastest way to lose weight is to dehydrate through manipulating (lowering) your sodium and carbohydrate intake.
depends on your body type. If your a solid 70 with broad shoulders and solid core you may not make 64kg. But if your naturally a thin dude and have a bit of body fat you can make 64kg no worries. It is hard to say with out actually seeing you. At 5'7 you should be fighting at 64kg. Give it a shot, you may not even be able to lose 6 kg. Your best shot is try to lose the weight and see how your body feels. You wont do any damage trying to lose the weight.
All kinds of salty food.Cut them out of your diet, drink 1 l per 10 kg of your bodyweight and you will shed water weight fast.
only one way to find out, no point asking guys who cant even see you through their laptops, you never even said your age, experiment yourself see how far you can get down to, get strict with the diet, aim to get your body fat low, get it tested by someone who knows what they are doing
