someone has told me that lamotta 2 and 3 are out there on film. id love to see 2 where lamotta knocks srr downs and wins the fight then id love to see the third contest that was hotly contested where again lamotta knocks down srr but llloses the fught. these would be golden for my fight collection. so all you fight film addicts are these fights out ther?
It would be nice to see the footage but...the fact is MW Jake fought WW Ray in 42 (weight difference 16-17 lbs.) in the first fight. The second fight came (are you ready for this? three weeks later, same weight difference) and Ray basically runs the table. Jake was a tough SOB but, despite his weight advantage*, couldn't handle the greatest fighter of all time. *do the math on other welter/middle matchups at that weight difference.
