Who do you think was the number 1 LMW at the time?

SSM was number 3 WW (behind PBF and Pac) when they fought.

Cotto has the best resume at 154 ( you do not forget everything that a fighter has done before they get to that weight when ranking him . . . is this bailey? lol)and who would you consider to be better than him right now?

If popularity is a massive factor PBF would not be consider number 1 or 2 P4P . . . he would be like number 50.

PBF school Oscar at his weight, with his gloves, his ring size . . . etc. PBF had the style that would always school Oscar . . . PERIOD

Whilst the de la hoya that mayweather fought was a faded version, the version that pacquiao fought a couple of years later and at a very drained weight looked next to dead. The guys body looked 3rd world hungry!

Popularity as in ability to sell tickets. Floyd may be disliked, but he sells more tickets than anyone. Floyd is the 1st or 2nd best fighter in the world right now, that ranking is correct.
Floyd could be retired for 2 years. He only has to announce is comeback and he's back in the rankings because the guys sells tickets.

You can't now for sure that PBF schoos any version of oscar. When he didnt school a faded oscar. So i can't see how he schools a prime oscar.

I disagree. He throws more shots in the 1st round with more conviction than he did the whole fight vs floyd.

He looks no worse than the Oscar that fought Mayweather to me.

The Oscar was a Ghost is a Myth.

It wwas a year earlier and Oscar had just dominated Forbes months before he fought Pac. Albeit taking more shots than expected... Floyd fought Oscar scared and did **** in that fight... Her was scared of the power all night..

Agreed - Oscar may not have been prime, but he had a decent fight plan which consisted in keeping distance with the jab and throwing a gazillion punches. His hit % was far lower than Floyd's but he suceeded in outworking him for some of those rounds. A prime version of ODLH vs a prime Mayweather would have been an interesting and very close encounter imo.

Oscar could barely throw a punch in that fight, his punches had no pop and he looked noodle armed throwing them, he was too drained and fatigued for his body to respond, that's why he quit punching and started back peddling around round 4, Oscar had no Business at 147( or 145 which I'm almost 100% sure there was a secret catch weight), but hey he was thinking about making his last pay day off Manny

    Bhop sells tickets? really? BHOP?

No he is ranked when he comes back because as long as he puts on the gloves he is one of the best in the ring unless it in a fight it appears that he has lost a step and someone is better.

As I said earlier styles makes fights my friend . . . PBF has the style to always play spoiler Oscar. Faded (and maybe cracked out) Pernell gave Oscar fits . . . i think Pernell pulled it out but people argue that Pernell did not throw enough. PBF may Pot shot now but he throws more than pernell at this stage of his career.

I don't believe he was weight drained. I think he just trained himself down to 145 as his walking around weight. thats why he wasnt heavier on fight night.

He said he made wade a week before the fight.

No secret catch weight! Oscar called all the shots. Manny didn't have a huge ppv following at the time.

It wasn't the same oscar, but if you watch the 1st round he looked the same as he did against mayweather.

He was just unlucky to be fighting the best version of manny there's ever been that night, who doest the credit he deserves for how good he was against oscar. His movement his boxing ability his varied attack his defence was the best its ever been.

A bit removed by then. Oscar was a part time fighter at that point. Mayweather is at a similar stage of his career now.
