Is this version of DeLaHoya even close to prime?

I like Manny and i think it was a great win for him especially given that he was still a smaller WW. However, even Roach said after the fight he could see the Iv marks in Oscars arms so he knew they had the fight in the bag. Freddie made no bones about draining Oscar going into the fight. Like I said it was still a solid win for Manny but Oscar looked like crack ***** at weighin:deal

I have to admit at first I thought you were trying to make a good point then this comment proves you are trying to hype Manny. Oscar looked like a crack head in his fight with Manny, Oscar was smart enough to fight Mayweather the way Castillio did and came close to beating Mayweather. Manny coming up through the weight classes was a beast Manny at welter is more hype than beast because of contract stipulations.

I think a prime ODLH beats Mayweather pretty clearly tbh.
This version was a part time fighter way past prime and not hungry at all.

That said Floyd could learn something from ODLH resume, its a whos who of all the best fighters and contenders that were out there.

    :stfu Are you serious?

Even roach said he could'nt pull the trigger anymore and said he noticed iv drip marks on oscar arm.

Prime De La Hoya would have beat Mayweather by decision 116-112, 117-111 sort of range and would have ko'd Pacquiao.

So who was the best then?

Forrest did not look good against Quartay in his previous fight and got a gift.

If your trying to argue that Floyd should not have fought em..well then Floyd was callin him out for a long time-The fight was more competitive than anyone at 154 at the time coulda been.

They were supposed to fight in September 2006 but Oscar didn't wanna fight then...so it got moved to the May 5th date. ORIGINALLY, HE WAS COMING OFF THAT SENSATIONAL KO OVER MAYORGA.

lol-Aside from money, why didn't Oscar wanna fight Floyd then?..Back in the day, Floyd was begging for that fight-Oscar's own fault he didn't take it at a younger age-

I'm not saying he was prime. I'm more saying that from the videos i've posted. He looks the same in the Mayweather fight to the Manny fight. His movement and in his punches. He was done in both fights. Manny just fought a perfect fight. and took it to DeLaHoya. Mayweather probaby would have KO'd DelaHoya if he took the fight to him in a similar way.

Then compare that to the video against mosley, and the bounce and speed and snap. Its like a differant fighter.

No Floyd should have fought him. I'm just saying that, this version of DeLa Hoay was no where near the fighter that fought mosley.

The guy had fought once in 3 years, and that was against Mayorga. So i struggle to understand how he could have been the best fighter at light middle, unless that division was shocking at the time.

Come on man, did you watch the video with or without your glasses? Oscar made Pac look like speedy gonzalez with his slow and dehydrated self. Oscar was a buzz saw in the PBF fight. I really don't know what it is your looking at to say Oscar looked the same with Pac in the first round and compare it with the first round of the PBF fight. Anyway, it does not look like any poster can change your mind so we have to agree to disagree.

That is simple because he is Oscar De La Hoya. The Golden boy who brings in money to all involved.

Yes fair enough. I really do. I think it was a shot delahoya who looked the same as he did against floyd. But manny put on the performance of his career.

He couldn't pull the trigger. But he got that assumption from the Oscar that fought floyd.
Oscar is in range all the time against floyd but doest throw. Its frustrating. Thats why roach new manny would win. Because oscar couldn't pull the trigger.
And he is basing that on the fact that he trained him for the fight with mayweather, where he couldn't pull the trigger.

Oscar was well ahead after eight rounds with Floyd.

He gassed and lost the last four.

So it's reasonable to assume that a prime Oscar would have prevailed.

As for Pac, that version of Oscar was even more gone than Floyd's version.

It's unlikely Pac could have handled a prime Oscar either.
