Is this what P4P means to some people? If it is.. that's moronic.

Ranking for me is Pac. Floyd and then JMM, I agree with you on most of the post though.

False. My uncle knows about boxing a lot more than me and you on account of how many ATG'S he's worked with. He told me that it's much much harder for a 6'5 240 pound fighter than it is for a 5'5 130 pound fighter. So in other words.

How many 130-147 Pound skilled 'cuties' and 'silky smooth' fighters has there been throughout history? How many 'elite' fighters has there been from that weight range?

    Now consider this;

How many 6'5+ 240+ ELITE Fighters has there been throughout history??

If there is only 5 players in the NBA who averaged over 32+ PPG during the NBA FINALS but there are over 30+ Players who have averaged over 32+ PPG during the playoffs leading into the FINALS.
Based on standard math it is safe to say 'IT'S A LOT EASIER averaging points leading into the FINALS as oppose to the Finals'

    It's standard math. Mathematics.

It makes sense... I'm pretty sure that was the point originally

It just made more sense when it was Sugar Ray Robinson, since without a doubt, if he was as big as a Klitchko he would massacre them both

P4P is about intelligence.Nothing more nothing less.

For example,I actually respect the Klit brothers intelligence both in and out the ring and so their rankings are legit to me,because i think if a physical match (you know a fellow "super" heavy) were to come along, with similar height, reach, speed and weight, that we would see actual craft and ring iq at work. But alas, they rarely ever fight "super heavies",so some think they're just "too big" for their comp. But I think they are also "better" too.Legit P4P'ers.

Another example:Mayweather vs Judah.Switch the brains and see who wins.We know wins.Mayweather.Mayweather's brain in Judah's body, that is.

Infact,M.I.J.B. would KTFO J.I.M.B..Mayweather would find Judah's body to be as fast as his own and he would soon find out that Judah's left hand was/is more powerful than anything he's ever wielded. On then other hand,Zab would discover that he has a few extra inches of reach and it's fuggin' beautiful. But he won't be able to help himself and he will throw punches as hard as he can (while talkin' $hi*!! lol) and he will hurt his hand. Then the tables will turn.

May in Zab's body will start walking down Zab in May's body, and then we will remember that Mayweather's D isn't his body but his BRAIN.May in Zab's body will be throwing punches with serious conviction as he always does, but with power like never before because he will have realised that not only is Zab's body able to generate more punching power, but that Zab's fists can take it quite well unlike his "old" fists. He would walk him down and KTFO him in 6!!!How different is that fight from the one we actually saw?But Mayweather's brain has to win and if we switched bodies his brain would still come out on top.Particularly over Zab's brain.

For me that is the ultimate test for true P4P.If things can be quasi-equalized between these two men,who wins?If we switch the brains or traded bodies, who wins?

And Mayweather and Zab were not perfect clones of one another by any means:FMJ's reach,Zab's power etc.But they were and are close enough for us to run our own thought experiments on what would happen if we simply switched their brains.I think most of us would agree that Zab's brain loses that fight no matter which body it was in.....because Mayweather('s brain) is the best P4P fighting brain in the game.

We could run that same experiment with Ali-Foreman(I think Ali would beat dog shi down Foreman's leg if they switched bodies for that fight!!Tyson-Holyfield(I think Hoyfield destroys Tyson if they switch bodies)etc etc.....P4P is the brain tho end of story.

The fact that Floyd is still no. 1 from what he's done in the past 3 years or so. Shows you how farcical it is.

Forget elite fighters, there have been more fighters between 130-147 than 6 5 240+ fighters, most above that weight are not in shape. Don't Compare Basketball to Boxing - anyway there are lot of other factors that needs to be involved, stats on paper doesnt show everything

I'm just curious to know, who is The Ring biased towards? I hope it's not GBP fighters, or Mexican fighters?

At one point, not too long ago, they had 4 Top Rank fighters there, two of which did not belong there (Pacquiao and Donaire). They finally put Abner Mares in there, who's long been one of the top 10 best fighters of this sport. He proved it with a resume of Darchinyan, Moreno, Agbeko 2x, and a Draw with Perez. But The Ring finally puts him in now that he stopped PDL. Canelo deserves his spot with his win over Trout, and it just takes your two eyes to see that Canelo is one of the best 10 fighters of the sport.

The only fighter I see there that does not belong, is Adrien Broner. I don't know why Donaire was taken down entirely because of losing by UD, but Pacquiao, who got knocked out to sleep, is still there at #8. Neither of those two exposed cherrypickers belong any where near the top 10. The Ring was generous towards them for a long time.
