actually, Mayweather had fought twice in 2 and a half years, not once. (going back to december 2nd 2007). And Mosley had fought twice in 2 and a half years as well. The difference being that Floyd was inactive for 8 months before the Mosley fight, but Mosley was inactive for 16 months.

 

Mosely wanted Floyd & the fight only became possible because Berto pulled out due to the earthquake.... if Floyd never fought Shane you would be on his ass even worse.

The funny thing is when the fight between Mayweather and Pacquiao broke down the first time Popkins was saying Pacquiao should fight Mosley because Shane's a "real man", yet when Mayweather signed to fight him he started coming out with Mosley being old and how can Mayweather lose to someone that was outboxed by Cotto etc.

Sadly he needs the money so he won't. And besides he is still a threat to most active fighters even at 38. If he can fight then there's no issues, it's not like he's in Holyfield's position or Riddick Bowe in the ring.

Mosley was the toughest fighter Mayweather would ever fight. And that's if Floyd fought him which Popkins said he would basically duck him.

After the fight is signed, Mayweather is a ***** for fighting Mosley and hand picked him.
