    • Camacho was ahead on two scorecards and even on the third. The scores were 39-37, 39-37 and 38-38.
    • From the start of the fight, Leonard had difficulty keeping his feet beneath him. He tripped once and almost stumbled to the canvas a second time. Afterward, he revealed that he had torn his right calf on January 31 while training in Chandler, Arizona. "I should have canceled the fight," said J.D. Brown, Leonard's adviser. "There were rumors that he was hospitalized and they were true." Leonard denied the rumors and said his son, Ray Jr., who was trying out for a local Arena Football League team, had been the Leonard in question. His doctor suggested that the fight be postponed, but Leonard refused. He didn't spar for two weeks. When he resumed sparring, he quickly re-injured his leg. His camp then closed his workouts to the press and public so nobody would see how hobbled he was. "It was something we camouflaged because we thought it was going to heal," said J.D. Brown. Leonard said his doctor injected him with a painkiller two hours before the fight. However, he was insistent that nobody take it as an excuse. "Do not write that this was the reason I lost," Leonard said
Leonard was a couple of months off of 41 years old.Norris was 30 years old when nobody Keith Mullings knocked him out,31 when Dana Rosenblatt beat him and 31 when moderate Laurent Boudouani ko'd him. You're a sad little fan boy who invades threads like a virus.Wipe your chin, it has something white and sticky on it.

38-38 that's a laugh. For what, getting the crap kicked out of him? Hector was knocking that boy all over the place from the start to finish. Those scores of yours are just sympathy scores like the one SI writer wrote in the article covering Norris - srl, making it a four point fight (yet with no details)

The reason leonard had trouble keeping his balance was due to Hector's fist, not his feet. Every few seconds it was a left to the chin, or beautiful in close hooks (illegal yet so beautiful!) until leonard's china chin gave out in the fifth

hector too showed, along with Norris that leonard was in neither man's class and that he should never EVER face a man with that kind of speed

seriously, try telling the truth for once. I know you're big on srl but you dont have to try turning a butt kicking into a competitive fight. You lose credibility that way. how do I know? I saw it, and no words of yours is going to get me to doubt the evidence of my eyes

The excuses you took two days to come up with are also just that, excuses. Nobody really believes them, and combining excuses with fictitious scores only worsens things

When Leonard brought up his calve after the fight, we all knew it was a ready made excuse in the event he got wiped out. It was classless I know, but was necessary for his ego's sake

Just be honest and admit that Leonard, while good, was only a bit player in the life and career of Terry Norris who, not only proved faster, but had the superior chin, and superior ring generalship

Remember to keep your chin up

That really instills me with confidence as a srl critic (in his chances against one Terrible Terry Norris)

shows he has problems with movers albeit badly injured ones

also explains the eternity that was required to end the threat of Larry Bonds

Thomas Hearns has a better resume than Sugar Ray Leonard. But Sugar Ray Leonard was better than Thomas Hearns when they actually got in the ring.

Not to jump in the middle of your argument, but that is an incredibly stupid thing to say.

A "bit" player? Before the Leonard fight, Norris was a "bit" player. He was an ESPN fighter. He was on network television twice, against Jackson and Mugabi. Both times, ABC was showcasing the other guy. Not Norris. They agreed to show the Mugabi-Norris fight because they thought Mugabi would blast him out like Jackson did.

Norris' fight with Rene Jacquot, before the Leonard match, wasn't even broadcast in the U.S. Nobody cared about him.

The Leonard fight MADE Terry Norris. It gave Norris his first million-dollar purse (ten times what he ever made before). The win got him a deal with HBO. After Leonard was beaten up, it was viewed as a passing-of-the-torch match (although Norris never lived up to it). Leonard even acknowledged that in the post-fight interview. How many Hall of Famers did Norris beat? One (Leonard).

Without the win over Leonard, Terry Norris is Simon Brown.

So in your mind the fight was competitive becuz some official said so. it's no wonder someone like you puts so much faith in polls, erroneous as they are

Judging from the fight itself, one would have never suspected the fight was so close (laughing emoticon)

even tho you know the scores are invalid you still used them. how sad that you have no other recourse

sympathy scores - similar to the sympathy article written in SI covering Norris - srl, making it a 4 point fight without disclosing details

definition of fan boy: a person who will go thru any length to deceive others when their man is short on accomplishments

    Uh, that would be YOU!

Note that I need not resort to such becuz I have THIS:

    Norris 120

    srl 106

popularity has nothing to do with it

If Ray leonard beat the man whether it be benitez, Kalule, hearns etc, by the same token it is fair to heap praise upon the winner of any fight

and so, as they were bit players in leonard's career, so was leonard a bit player in Terry's career

in short, leonard was born soley to make Terry Norris great
