What are you talking about. This is Timothy Bradley we are talking about not Arturo Gatti! Apart from the Provodnikov fight there would not be a single other fight that would even come to close to even being discussed as a fight of the year. The guy was a feather fisted bore.
bradley vs vargas was a great drama filled fight very entertaining. I personally enjoyed watching the desert storm always exciting never new what youre going to get. quit trolling your hate. go eat a box of chocolates
People forget marquez cherry picked bradley after he got a major beating from Provodnikov. Although marquez was old, he still koed the best pacquiaio out of their 4 fights. I dont know about atg however.
Tim Bradley is so overrated on this forum that it's comical. This is one of the dumbest questions ever. He was nowhere NEAR all time great level... ****in idiot.
Relax, don't take my opinion so personally, I'm exaggerating the bad ever so slightly in order to emphasise the good. That's not necessarily a concession. Bradley was on my radar a good few fights prior to his win over Witter and it's no exaggeration that Pre Pacquiao he'd made a hobby of collecting fouls. His excessive use of his 'third fist' would've made Holyfield blush. I wouldn't put him in quite the same bracket as say someone like Ward, but he certainly was cut from the same cloth. Fouling and spoiling weren't side effects of his style, they were intrinsic to it. To your last point, I'm sure all of those things are true. A lot of the greatest fights the sport's known were brutal affairs that came at great personal cost to those involved. What makes Bradley so rare is to see that kind of raw heart and brutality on display from someone who fought the lion's share of his previous bouts in a less than fan-friendly fashion. It's one of the fundamental reasons Bradley is now amongst my favourite fighters in history and even though it could be argued he doesn't quite make the cut, in my book he absolutely is an ATG.
Both Pac and JMM were way past their best, although some might say so was Tim. And quite frankly I thought Pac won.
Correction, he had one exciting drama filled fight. The rest were average. Provodnikov vs Bradley was a very good fight. He didn't put me to sleep in his others like Lara, Rigondeaux, or Mayweather but he was not an "action" style fighter like Rios, Maidana, Pacquiao, Salido, etc. I'll give you heart of a champion but not fierce like a lion. I reserve that epithet for aggressive, powerful, dominating fighters like Roy Jones Jr. Bradley was fairly skillful, had courage and heart, but was weak and usually fought cautiously. He wasn't a Mike Tyson to just pounce on his prey and tear it to shreds.
Hof. Not ATG. Around Cotto level maybe a little lower for not fighting at as many weight classes and having a shorter career. Although the "supercharged" version of Pac and "brick layer" Margarito beat the prime out of Cotto and everything after that involved careful matchmaking to extend his career and shelf life. Bradley fought a far less "juicy" version of Pac. But the Marquez win was really good, the provodnikov fight was an unbelievable show of courage.
