Is Tommy Burns overlooked H2H?

    Of course, I'm not talking about him against modern HWs but he was very good, tough fighter and he looks good on the tape.

    What are your thoughts about Burns?

    He was short but had decent reach. He was excellent inside fighter and had good sense of distance. Quite heavy handed, as can be seen in fights against Squires and Moir.

    He had some decent wins against:

    Philadelphia Jack O'Brien
    Marvin Hart
    Bill Lang
    Jim Flynn

    He was KOed only once in his career - by the great Jack Johnson. His resume isn't great, but he was good fighter of his times.

    In some ways he was a victim of his own success.

    He gets remembered as the most diminutive heavyweight champion, while he should be remembered as a pound for pound great!
