Yes, Tommy Morrison IS Aids. His whoring around single-handedly created the disease back in the 80s.

I started a thread about this a while ago, but more to find out if he is actually fighting anymore. Does anybody have any credible info about him at this point?

Not sure about the whole AIDS bit, but it was just announced that he is going to be touring Australia this year. Hopes to get a fight with one of their champs.

He's HIV+, but I don't believe he has AIDS yet. It's under good enough control with the drugs that he doesn't necessarily test positive when using certain tests, but it never really goes away completely.

:goodCool man cool. Im a fan of Morrison as well. He seems to have kept himself in good shape over the years of inactivity, so we'll see how well it helps him.

If he had a 6-8week training camp here in oz where its currently summer and very hot he could get into good shape(for his age)...He would obviously still possess decent power as thats the last thing a fighter loses..And with that lefthook he would be a threat to any of our heavyweights..As i mentioned before though the division is stacked none of our guys would be within top 50 in the world etc...

Most of our domestic heavyweight fights are pretty exciting as most of the fighters have big hearts but very leaky defence/limited skill..

Our current heavyweight champ is a former rugby league player who once upon a time was a world class player.Due to disclipline problems he has been pushed out of the game..He has very limited skills but is getting better by each fight...His management have expressed the interest of fighting Morrison..Though im sure the AIDS issue could cause some problems...

Hope the fight comes off as it would definetly be a slugfest for how ever long it lasts..

Yes, he'll be portraying Aids Gunn, son of Tommy, in the next Rocky picture.

probly. I've heard his explanation of Aids and its pretty stupid. something like "a man having sex with a woman cant get Aids. only homosexuals gets Aids because its an abomination. God hates gay people, its in the bible"

He is HIV + as Brickhaus said. Not everyone that has HIV ends up with AIDS.

People can have HIV for over 20 years before it worsens, it is what is called the Latency Stage. The body's immune system can actually keep it under control for this long. And with the help of antiretroviral therapy it can be controlled for an almost indefinite amount of time.

Similar to Magic Johnson, who has had HIV for over a decade now but it has never progressed beyond the initial stages.

The virus could basically be dead in his body, and it would likely on show up on very specific blood work tests.

A conventional HIV test might not detect if it is completely under control.

He hasn't taken a credible HIV test since returning to the ring. My guess is because he knows he has it and is trying to weasel his way into making some cash. So until further notice, he has it.
