I want to watch a good boxing match, but know nothing of Randall Bailey or Francisco Figueroa. Are they good fighters?
Randall Bailey is a solid fighter He recently got robbed against Ngoudjo. This fight doesnt look competitve though.. Bailey should blow him out..
Never seen him fight. But according to boxrec, he beat Emanual Augustus by split decision (didn't see the fight but I'd bet Augustus got robbed as usual) Other than that, Figueroa's fought nobody while Bailey has been in with some elite fighters. That's why I think this could be a one-sided fight. I may be proven wrong though.
El Gato is a solid fighter as well. I've seen him give Ricky Hatton fits in sparring. However, he did have trouble with Emanuel Augustus' awkward style, and it's arguable that Augustus deserved the nod in their fight. I think it's an interesting match up.
Randall Bailey isn't a world beater but he's a solid B level fighter. He's pretty much perfect for FNF, someone who isn't a champion but entertaining enough to want you to see him on TV. He lose a close fight against Herman Ngouojo in Montreal last year. He's kind of like Edison Miranda, powerful enough that you'll pay money to see him. El Gato suffered two losses early in his career but has slowly climbed back in his career. Technical fighter with lackluster pop whose coming off a decent performance against Emmanuel Augustus. This is an IBF eliminator so the winner will be in line to fight Juan Urango.
****, it's always worth watchin' man. That's just the main event you put up (and all that is advertised) but there will be atleast 2 or 3 more fights to go with it. PLUS, I always like to see who's "In Studio Guest" each week, what they have to say, and get B. Kenny, Atlas, etc.'s opinions of what's all goin' on in the sport.
They no longer have in studio guests. Instead they rotate between Bernard Hopkins, BJ Flores, Bernardo Osuna, and Dan Rafael. Tonight Flores is in studio.
BJ Flores looks good in studio and seems to stick to his message well when Kenny tries to throw him off a bit. I wouldn't be mad at all if he becomes a semi-permanent commentator somewhere.
BJ Flores is a good studio co-host so that'll be good. Sides for those of you who want to bet on Holt/Bradley, you'll have to tune in to get yer advice from Atlas.
