Beating the mighty Atoli Moore, Bob Ajesafe and Mckenzie twice hardly equals world title fight.

He looks out of his depth to me, early stoppage.

but those three constitute a far higher level of opposition than Bellews opposition.

Against the likes of Hopkins and Dawson he would be out of his depth. Not quite so much against Cleverly.

Shame it's for such a bull**** title but the fact is Cleverly/Bellew is a more entertaining prospect than Hopkins/Dawson is despite that being for a more deserved title.

This is really just a glorified British title fight.

    Indeed.

It was proven in May with DeGale/Groves that good domestic fights don't need to get hyped as a 'world title' fights just to get the recognition.

Maybe it's just me but if Cleverly/Bellew was for the British title I'd be well up for it. Adding a pretend world bauble dampens it a little, especially with the genuine light heavyweight world championship being fought for on the same channel just a few hours later.

No way is Tony delusional. He is a seriously good prospect and three ABA titles at HEAVY is not to be sniffed at. I occasionally get a little tired of his trash talk but comments about "Scousers in tracksuits" are offensive not to mention outdated and unfunny. Save that crap for the likes of Roy Chubby Brown or Jim Davison. Bellew vs Cleverly 18 months down the line could be massive!

I was going to post a similar thread.

At the weigh in Bellew looked like he just realised its his body that is going to have to try and cash a cheque thanks to his big mouth .

Got to be in control of mind and body in a big fight like this.

When you look at their records, it's quite apparent the step in class is a big one for Tony Bellew.

Bellew didn't look great vs McKenzie in either fights, and if he does adopt similar tactics, he isn't going to win.

Can't see Bellew winning to be honest.

Yes he is. He has talked his way into this one. But at the end of the day he has got people interested.

    That was at Heavy though...

Tony hasn't done ANYTHING at LHW. Anything.

He has talked himself into a big payday, that's all.
