I think he is an ATG.
Lennox Lewis never fought the real Tyson when he was at his best, neither did Holyfield.
Tyson is no Muhammad Ali but definetly one ATG.
    IMO

Tyson has always been overrated by some.

I still rate him highly due to how he went about it though, especially only being 20.

Say what you like about Tyson but he's one of the three biggest draws in history (along with Dempsey and Ali.) He's an ATG.

you obviously weren't around. Spinks was only a 3.5/1 underdog.

I was around, everyone knew Spinks would get murdered.
He came out looking like he shat himself, and he got murdered. Nothing amazing about that performance from Tyson.

    Bottom line

Head to Head no heavyweight in history beats a prime motivated Tyson

Hatton was a big draw in Britain...and he is an ATG amongst British fighters.

who did Tyson beat in his prime? I would say his prime came young, but even then he only beat a bunch of 'decent' fighters before being KTFO by a fighter with 4 losses

And how many great fighters did Tyson beat during his prime to prove this?

Do you think prime Lewis, Ali, Louis, Foreman etc would have struggled or faired differently against Tysons opposition?

Just because Tyson would ko decent fighters quicker than the rest doesn't mean he's better does it?

I think Tyson is an ATG. Probably top 105-95.

Tyson is easily better than Ricky The Shitman Hatton tho.

I'll always look at tyson as an ATG. He was a lot of fun to watch.

Holmes was past his prime and arguably beat Spinks in the rematch. Spinks was an ATG light-heavyweight but merely a good heavyweight, and as such this is not an A level win. In fact, Tyson doesn't have one altogether.
