Over hyped yes , but give the lad a break 20 years old and still growing ! , he has a good amature pedigree , he's getting in better shape for each fight. His albeith silly name gets alot of attention , but can you blame him for wanting to be noticed?. I have high hopes for him.
What the **** is everyone's problem here? He's only 20 years old, has very fast hands, tall, fights instead of holds and is losing weight and getting in good shape. Yes, his defence looks weak, and he may not make the top10, but who cares?! Boxing fans must be the only type of fans who will instantly hate on a new guy who can bring light to a dead division. :-( Don't **** on your own doorstep.
He is being over hyped, him and his dad are doing a good job of getting him noticed. He needs to concentrate on improving his skills before even thinking about fighting somebody like Rogan. That is a fight that seems to be getting mentioned a lot.
ONLY a british title??....british title is a very high level...i dont see him as good at all...i could be wrong of course, i have been many times...but i dont think he'll get a british title.
he will not get a world title. european title at most. tyson fury sounds like a cool name ...like one you would make up for yourself but i was expecting a huge muscular fellar and seen a guy with a podgy gut. well overhyped imo.
My comments are above. Like every heavyweight prospect Fury needs to prove he can go 10 rounds, take a punch, and bounce back from tough rounds. However Fury was raised to be a fighter. I don't think he will give up during a fight. He's got speed, power, skills, and good hand speed. the really big fighters mature late. Check in 4 years from now and Fury could be something.
Co-signed! :good Tyson Fury has a lot of potential. No one on here can predict the future; they can only offer their opinion. Will he be a World Champion? Lets see how great the Heavyweight division is in 3 years time? :bbb
For some reason I think that he is going to test the waters against solid competition sooner rather than later. he doesn't seem the type to pad his record out on easybeats for years on end.
To those who say he has talent, I'm not seeing any of it. While it's good to see someone making some noise for boxing, I don't think he's going anywhere and certainly won't get even near a world title.
He only becomes 'over hyped' if we let him. I'd like to think intelligent fans could see he's merely a three fight novice who likes to talk.
Well this thread just sums up ESB. Fools coming in here predicting how he will do when the guy isn't even fully grown! How the hell can any of you "predict" he will only go as far as British belt holder or Euro belt holder? He has 3 damn fights! Yes, he is being over hyped, but what heavyweight isn't these days? We simply don't know enough about him. I can't believe people think they do.
