Yes,Al.Many years ago there was a boxer very close to you who did his talking with his fists, and he did everything but get the decision off some brilliant champions.Tyson could still be interesting if he followed his example a little bit.

You realise Fury has dismissed his opponents as being nothing more than cruiserweights?

    It's a valid complaint.

Steve Cunningham isn't just a blown up cruiser, he was a good champ at the weight. I can think a few blown up cruisers who haven't done too bad at heavy. Holyfield for one, then you've got Haye, Adamek, anyone see Marco Huck against Povetkin?

No. He's slow, has no head movement, and he's not exactly a heavy hitter. Haye will mince him if the fight happens. In saying that. Hopefully it does. The build up will be hilarious.

Cunningham was a good champ but he wasn't even a puncher at cruiser weight. His KO rate is really poor yet he rocked a 250 pound Fury & had him hurt & on his backside.

David Haye was put on his backside by Mormeck whose KO rate is less than 50% and is a not very imposing 5'10 1/2.

Both these guys can be KOd should they fight :good

This is true and makes it a great one in prospect. The build up alone will be exciting.Plenty of pros and cons for both.If this one is made it Will come off IMO,although I would have liked Haye vs Charr and Fury against TBA first.

    I think he's better.

People lambast his last performance but overlook the versatility and mobility he showed in walking Cunningham down like he did and barrelling in with short hooks and body shots. He was always going to look bad in that fight on the outside against a fighter like Cunningham who is already sharp and skillful at Cruiserweight - never mind heavyweight. So Tyson can be forgiven for abandoning his game plan early doors in such a freakish scenario.

He showed against Johnson he can box and stay disciplined and I expect him find a happy medium in the not to distant future.

Most fighters can get knocked down and it's not always by the biggest puncher they face.
If either Fury or Haye catches each other flush it would probably be goodnight. The pair of them have just got to make sure they don't get copped.

I've always thought Fury was decent. His fitness is outrageously under-rated. People look at his physique and claim he's unfit, but his engine is top-notch. He has NEVER finished a fight blowing harder than his opponent. He sets a very good pace for such a big guy and throws a big volume of punches.

His defence is poor, undoubtedly and his reflexes ain't all that, that will be his biggest problem against Haye who will crouch and throw hurtful shots with either hand from angles that he doesn't see coming.

The question for me is whether he can actually nullify haye's advantage in that department. If he can get close, lean on haye and get him blowing in the first half of the fight he has a real chance.

The other advantage he has is that Haye's chin is average at best and he clearly doesn't like fighting the big guys. IMO his performance against Valuev was poor, it wasn't a back-foot masterclass, it was running away and stealing rounds with the odd shot against a lumbering opponent. Cunningham thought he would do the same against Fury but came up against someone who is deceptively quick and incredibly brave.

Haye should take it by KO in the first 5 rounds, if he doesn't he's in serious trouble.

    :deal

The only caveat to that I would add is that if Haye doesn't KO Fury in the first half of the fight he is losing a heavy points decision or being put out stone cold like Cunningham was :good

I don't have a clue why people are speaking of Tyson Fury's last performance as a negative! It was a plus performance. Since when have we seen a SuperHeavyweight who can fight on the inside as good as Tyson Fury..? Lennox Lewis & Riddick Bowe where the last big guys who could do so!

Tyson Fury could of easily tried to keep things on the outside with USS but..? He probably would not of knocked him out and beat him up in such brutal fashion if he did!

He did a job on USS, people need to remember this.

I think Fury & Haye both beat the Kiltschko's!
