I would love it if Tyson Fury come into his next fight in mint condition and done a number on his opposition.. Would shut up a couple of idiots on here..
I think, in regards to his fitness, he'll raise the bar when the standard of his opposition is raised. He was in his best shape for any of his recent fights against Del Boy, and that was the biggest fight of his career. It'd probably help if he settled with one trainer for a bit and stuck with the one conditioning regime, but he seems to be going down the Macklin route of trying different trainers until he finds one he feels happy with.
I do see abit of class in Fury, he amazes me really that he doesnt eat properly, doesnt train right, doesnt get his conditioning right and is still taking everyone out, 17 fights 12 Ko's. What would you get with a 100% commited Tyson Fury... :think
He would chin Price He's shed a lot of the weight he was carrying so he's taking it seriously, he could become a guy we start to see more of this year. But he's just a slow brawler with good power that looks to take people out which is enough to get a Klitschko shot but he won't ever beat any of them. Mag versus Fury or Chisora would be great fun if they came in shape. He has two fights lined up, one against Zumbano from Brazil who he will probably spark in about 2. Zumbano is worse than Rich Power, he's well **** so its an easy WBO rating. Looks like the people behind him are going after Wlad. For a comparison with Fury, Magomed V's Rich Power [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bqukprPosOQ[/ame]
Abuldsalmov is maybe a step too far for Fury at this point. I think that's the standard of opposition he's got to look to progress towards though. He's still a young fighter - especially by heavyweight standards - and I'm happy for Big Mick to focus on building his name and recognition with Joe Public via the Channel 5 deal. To be honest, I'd like to see Fury make some more appearances on terrestrial TV in general in the next year or two. Not sure what programmes Channel 5 have that he could be interviewed on, but even a wee piece here or there or a 'behind the scenes' look leading up to one of his fights.
Did a 17 year old Tyson Fury not fight an - older than Tyson Fury currently is - David Price in the amateurs? And Fury sent Price to the canvas? Price beat the count and subsequently won on points BUT without wobbling Fury. I would predict now Fury has grown into a man he would KO Price pretty easily tbh. I'm not really sure what the foundation for belief in the 29 year old 11 fight veteran Price actually is!
Irrelevant topic. Price isn't getting past Mc Donut this weekend anyway. He's getting his overrated ass, sparked out.....
If they fought im not sure how id call it, Fury of late has shown some improvement and certainly heart, hes exciting to watch, the last couple of his fights had premature stoppages but no blame can be directed at fury for that. Price is more the Pure boxer of the 2 and can bang big time and has the better skill set,but his career has been slow. Its hard to say how their styles would be if they fought, Fury has a great jab when he uses it but so does Price, Tyson has shown hes got heart and has gained more experience professionally against better opposition, Price has shown a cool professional attitude in the ring, but that might be to not having much pressure put upon him by is opponents. The question is how will Price react to some fast pace pressure in the ring? Say it was Fury coming at him?? would Price crumble? or would Fury`s aggressive style fall right into Price`s hands and BAM! All we have is subjective conjecture at present. What i see here are some fans/critics looking at Price`s better skill set and power and others looking at Fury better opposition and experience and heart. As for Price this weekend will tell us alot about him as this is by far his biggest challenge, as hes fighting Big John, who has got heart and can put the pressure on and can also bang!
I think price will knock Big John out in the middle rounds and if he does that it is very impressive, in the first fight for me Mcdermott beat fury so if price does better its a good indicator. People forget that price has problems with his hand and he also had the problem of being signed to hayes promotional label which meant he had to take a bit of time off
I like Tyson fury, but I don't like his conditioning and punching technique, both are horrible. He needs to get himself in tip top shape, and he needs a trainer like Mickey from Rockey to make him throw proper punches at a heavy bag 10,000 times without stopping, and every time he throwas an arm punch he gets a bowling ball dropped on his 'nads to get that arm punching crap out of his system
