I think he's pretty likely to beat people of the level of McDermott, Pajkic and Nasciemento more often that not simply because they're not very good. But he still had some poor moments in all of those fights, enough to suggest he wasn't that great to begin with and he's always liable to suffer a 'shock' defeat. He won't beat anybody better than Chisora again simply because he was lucky to be facing a ridiculously unmotivated Chisora that didn't seem arsed in the first place. Nothing to do with being shot, British level is his level and I think you're trying to make this more complicated than it is with the suggestion its because he's shot aged 23 after a few somewhat difficult fights. He's just not very good, bottom line and that will show through against better opponents. It could even show through against a banger that isn't at that level.
I totally agree with what your saying but can kind of see what the OP is saying, he's not shot as in past it, lost speed, timing, balance etc he probably just never had it. H's shot as in his career goes no further, has he actually peaked? like you said he probably wont beat anyone as good as Chisora again. I know he's not shot as he's still young and has years to improve etc, but I doubt he will and you doubt he will so can see where he's coming from probably just not the best terminology. Put simply he's just not very good, but he will definately make a few quid based on the current state of the heavyweight division.
Leave Tyson alone. He's going through an extremely difficult period of his life right now, and this kind of negativity is the last thing he needs to hear about.
people wrote off groves after he got put down by anderson then he went on and beat degale and smashed smith into the next year then people are up his arse! I just dont listen when the keyboard boxing experts start writing off a fighter after one bad performance because at the end of the day this is a sport and people peform badly every now and then, occasionally Manchester United will lose to someone like Wigan but they come back the next week and win its how you come back from your bad peformances that make the champion. Im not convinced he giving everything into the sport anyway and too be peforming badly not using his attributes and not putting his all into training and stil winning most of his fights with ease says something about his talents and that he does have some level of ability.
kenny anderson demolishing everybody in the amateurs at light heavy. and he is being considered 'not very good'
I agree with you, I believe Furys child was desperately ill before the new year and it is public knowledge that he suffers with serious bouts of depression, he has even said himself he has had suicidal thoughts. let's remember he is only 23 and is obviously struggling with problems outside the ring or even with his life in general so he should be recieving support not abuse... I think everybody should give him a break and some time to explain whatever he wants to and hope he gets the help and support he needs. I do not want to hear anything so sad and tragic like the story of Darren Sutherland again.
What about giving up belts to avoid getting beat? Some fans see that as a disgrace to boxing. Face up to it, the writings on the wall for the big man.
He clearly isn't a top 10 fighter though. At best he's ranked around 30 and that's due to clever/lucky matchmaking and a few home town decisions going his way.
