Tyson is a circus, he's unorthodox, brings loads of baggage and rivals Haye for hyperbole. He's maybe not a full shilling but if he ever comes back there will be plenty of £ in it for him and plenty of column inches. Briggs showed that screenshot of the alleged convo between the two. Mid to late June would still be possible if something happens in the next week or so (can't see it). I'd like him to get back in the ring and see what he's got even with the lay off he's not actually that old so he could get back to the top in 2,3,4 fights depending on how he looks. It would be nice to get an unedited update or where he's at. I'm in camp but no opponent signed yet, or fight offerd still waiting for contracts to be signed, or have no promoter so no chance of a fight in the next 3 months etc etc.
The problem with knowing where Fury is or isnt.... is the fact him and his uncle are completely and utterly full of BS. You can only take about 5% of anything that Furys say as being the truth and its impossible to decipher where that 5% is in the mix. We will know something once a fight is announced by a promoter or a TV company and not before that.
Funny how Povetkin gets grilled for being a roid cheat where even sky are mentioning it every moment while he's fighting in the ring. Yet people are ready to give Fury a hero's welcome after failing two drug tests.
It's the opposite too. They hate Fury so much they want to see him come back and get humiliated by AJ.
If Fury can come back and beat anyone decent that will be impressive. I think AJ has just as many fans among the online hardcore, perhaps more. And certainly more fans among the mainstream. Fury's far more of a hate figure for the media and the public at large.
