Of all the heavyweights born in the UK, is Tyson Fury the best?

I've given plenty of options in the poll, although I do know it's between Fury and Lennox Lewis.

Both Fury & Lennox are extremely great heavies. Fury wouldn't get knocked out by them little men Lennox did but it's sort of a mute point.

If Fury didn't have 4 years of his career wasted he'd have been in a stronger position to make the outright claim.

No he's not the best HW or best British HW of all time

He's the best fighter of all time. Period.

He needs to beat Usyk to be #1 British heavyweight ever.
It is close between him and Lewis right now.

Fury from Wilder 2 (and even 1) was very impressive. Far better performance than the joke of a fight against Wlad where he won 8 rounds, many of which were won by 1 or 2 scruffy punches. I pick AJ and Usyk to beat the fat sloppy inactive plodder we saw against Whyte.

Tyson Fury has never been stopped, while Lennox Lewis was stopped twice: 1) by a journeyman crack addict 2) and knocked COLD by a much smaller heavyweight.

Was Hasim Rahman about on the same level as Dillian Whyte? Watch his two fights with Oleg Maskaev.

McCall had an iron chin, but didn't have world class boxing skills, and was much smaller than Lewis.

Lewis is ahead. Two more big wins and Fury gets it.

Lennox Lewis still has better resume.

    Evander Holyfield
    V.Klitschko
    Old Mike Tyson
    Michael Grant
    Andrew Golota
    David Tua
    Gary Mason
    Frank Bruno
    Ray Mercer
    Tommy Morrison
    Razor Ruddock
    Tony Tucker
    Shannon Briggs
    Francois Botha
    Hasim Rahman

    Tyson Fury has

    Deontay Wilder
    Dillian Whyte
    Old W.Klitschko
    Steve Cunningham
    Dereck Chisora
    John McDermott
    Otto Wallin

Lewis has bit more padding to his record, meaning hes got more good and solid wins on his record. But if Fury beats Usyk then it's a better argument.

Well to be fair you could also say Tyson Fury, should have 1 loss on his record to John McDermott. Theres no way he won that fight. If McDermott gets the decision which he rightly deserved, does Fury not having undefeated record alter his standing ?

Fury was also hurt and knocked down by a no hoper like Neven Pajkic, which tells you in Heavyweight boxing. If anyone hits you bang on the chin with solid shot, anyone could go.

I like Joshua and Joyce, but they don't belong in this thread.

Lewis resume is much deeper. But he does have two 1 punch KO losses against inferior fighters where he was a big favorite. Whyte just got cleanly outclassed by Fury and is the type of guy that would spring the upset on Lewis. If Usyk beats Joshua and Fury decides to fight him and wins. Then it’s Fury.

Fury is more intelligent and gifted than Lewis was imo. Lewis came to work and punched the clock a lot more than Fury did though hence the deeper CV.

That's an understatement 2002 Mike Tyson would get KO'd by Dillian Whyte. Totally done.
