Is Tyson Fury the Best British Heavyweight of All Time?

I don't think Whyte is as good as Bruno or even Mason. He's same as Chisora.

 

Beating Wlad (who had not lost in 11 years) and beating Wilder the second time are surely good as anything Lewis did, win for win.
Only thing Lewis has a bit more meat in the record in the way of challengers.

 

Good win against unbeaten Usyk can make difference.

 

It's always going to be Lennox Lewis.

 

Lennox Lewis faced superior opposition and faced a variety of styles. I want to see Fury against Usyk to see how he deals with him

 

Lewis and it isn't remotely close. resume wise it's even further apart. Fury would need to clear the other top guys to have a claim. Fighting the untested and limited Wilder three times is not the same as fighting three different top opponents. it just isn't regardless of the mental gymnastics by some people on here.

 

Recency bias in this forum goes over the roof after a popular match. I am one of the very few people who doesn't like Lennox Lewis and find him overrated on this forum but it's not even close. Lewis more or less fought every top fighter of his reign and Fury fought an ageing Wlad, never gave him a rematch and a paper champion in Wilder who never fought a top fighter himself.

 

Lennox Lewis clearly but Fury is a solid package and could retire undefeated which will mean far more if he fights and beats the winner of Joshua/Usyk. Retiring with all the belts would be the HW super nova. Can he really walk away from that?

 

As of now yes, but it depends on what Fury and AJ do over the next few years. Lennox Lewis is Canadian.

I like fury..I've met him and he was pure class..top bloke and I'll sing his praises everywhere I go...however ...I'm not about to call him the goat Brit heavyweight because he beat deontay wilder and dillian ****in shyte lol
