    It was.
    There was much more depth.
Today oitside of 3 or 4 guys it s a wasteland.
    In my opinion offcourse.

I'm not putting Wilder on pedestal.
Mercer lost to saggy tits Holmes old version. He lost to Jesse Ferguson. Morrison almost killed by Mercer and KOd in 1 by Mike Bentt.
How these much better than say Ortiz?

Wilder has poor record but didn't lose to any of those bums he fought.

So much depth Kirk Johnson gets to number 3? Or top 5? So much depth Mike Tyson years over the hill and down the other side on Prozac gets number 2.
Even ancient fat Foreman won unified world titles in 1990s. If the era had such depth how this even happens.
Yes just my opinion too of course.

I hate to say this, but I do think Fury H2H is better than Lennox. That said Lennox had a way better career, he's still the GOAT British HW for sure.

He got to no 3 at one point in time, doesnt define a era more thsn Whyte being a top 5 in this one.
Past it Tyson was still good, dare I say he would be ranked top 5 easily today aswell.
Foreman was great.Him winning the title at 45 says more about him than anything else.

You mean top 3 ATG Larry Holmes ? He was past it but in his prime he ranks higher than Klitschko for most people ? Klitschko was also old against Fury and did nothing after that fight, even older than Holyfield but hey, i didn't want to mention that until now

Ortiz beat Jennings and no one else. He looked good but thats his only notable win. It was a good win, but Morrison schooled past it Foreman who was also a previous ATG and at that point, definitely better than past it Povetkin, Whyte, and Jennings. Ortiz looked like absolute crap against journeymen Christian Hammer although he does have a better chin than Morrison. Doesn't say much though.

    Fair.
I don't see much difference in the eras. They both have some good and some bad fighter. But I think nostalgia plays a part. People tend to look bad with fondness to 1990s and overlook the bad.

I am not rating Fury above Lennox. Just my opinion is that it's close and up for debate if Fury does beat Usyk. I think Holyfield and Wladimir Klitschko great wins both, even though old men. I think Lewis best way more ranked fighter yes but some were not good and yes he did lose 2, so I don't see "miles miles ahead" or whatever. I see Fury and Lewis as close right now. Just my opinion.

Him losing the purse bid and then backing out afterwards is no worse than backing out before like they did. Same thing happened when Matchroom lost the purse bid for Pulev/Whyte and then Whyte fought Parker I believe because he didn't want to face Pulev for less money in Bulgaria.

If anything I think it's arguably worse pulling out before. If you lose the bid you least have the excuse of saying it's down to that instead of just pulling out and giving Price the ability to spin the narrative to make it look like a duck. But I guess that's why Hennessey was never a big player and Fury then signed with Warren, because of how badly that was handled.

Price didn't need the exposure to be fair he was being hyped like mad at the time and fighting on the premiere platform for boxing in the UK back then in SKY.

As for taking the £100K offer. Maybe Fury should of taken the £125K offer that Maloney made in return to face Price. Fury called £125K chicken feed so why would Price accept less than chicken feed.

    LL for me

then Fitz for his historical accomplishment of becoming the first middleweight and heavyweight champion

Fury needs to beat all the big names of his era and unify everything to move up alongside LL

Lewis would KO Fury or UD. He had a better jab, better straight right, great power.

Yep Ruddock spent 19 rounds over two fights in the ring with Mike Tyson, fought 8 rounds with a broken jaw but there’s no way he could cope against Dillian whytes test match bowler impression when throwing a right hand.

It's definitely one of the following 3.

    Lennox Lewis
    Tyson Fury
    Richard Dunn
