I like fury, always have. But I'm no fan boy, and will call any fighter as I see them..fury can be a right card at times, I could maybe swallow this lineal thing a little more if he even defended the titles even once when he had them, but he didn't and he just sounds silly announcing himself as heavyweight champ about the place.

Good for him on his life achievements, he's living the dream and I won't judge him for any life choices he makes, all the best to the lad in all he desires.. But mma... Just lol.

Until someone unifies all the major belts, then no one is a lineal champion.

This is how sad boxing is becoming, I'm starting to become seriously disillusioned with the sport.

We have Fury pretending he is the lineal champion after retiring and getting busted for drugs and everybody seemingly forgetting those facts.

ESPN advertising and continuously mentioning a title belt that doesn't exist.

    Eddie Hearn promoting YouTube fights.

We also have FRANCHISE CHAMPIONS that don't have mandatory challengers, they just hand pick opponents for as long as they want to by the sound of it.

It's beyond parody now, it's actually depressing and slowly strangling boxing, if this continues unopposed by boxing fans then boxing will pretty much be dead within a decade.

Everybody on here got their panties in a wad when Eubank Jr. showed up to a dance club strutting his IBO belt.

    ESPN be like:

    "PED tests? Nah.

25+ direct claims of retirement? Nah.

18+ months of no fights scheduled? Nah

    Lineal champ, babay!"

Anybody vouching for Fury being lineal wasn't exactly "following the sport" during that couple year stretch, no doubt about it. If you were, I hope you look long and hard in the mirror.

I called Dan Rafael a "lineal ESPN shill" on Twitter and he blocked me, had a tantrum of posts right after, and changed his Twitter title to "LINEAL ESPN boxing writer."

Rafael deliberately won't mention the steroids but will say things like "Fury was out of the ring with issues."

The day Fury tested positive and had to relinquish the belts was the day he lost the right to call himself the lineal champ and it's arguable if he was even that to begin with. Utter disgrace that he's still claiming to be the holder of a title he was stripped of for a being drugs cheat.

I swear mate the whole episode with Dillian failing the test and Eddie talking about not being actually required to inform Rivas team and trying to justify his stance nearly broke me. I was seriously gonna take a step back from the sport for a couple of years. That and trying to talk sense into LBDC sheeple about Wilder - AJ negotiations for the last 3 years on other forums was starting to wear me down.

Didn“t Fury at one point verbally state that he is giving up his claim to the heavyweight championship?
I never bothered to dig for the exact quote because he has spewed so much garbage on the subject. But I am fairly certain he gave up his claim.
