Yes. That is the rule. A fighter with one loss is like a woman without her virginity: completely worthless.
He took a beating tonight. The ninth round was brutal. He was knocked out and the ref saved him. Not sure how much Fury has left at this point.
That's a fair point. But yeah I think it's bad for the sport when people assume a fighter will or should retire after a loss. Let's see what Fury comes up with!
I think that even in defeat he showed he still has something left to give. As noted upthread I think the real issue is if he wants to fight again - and wants to risk more losses - against Usyk again, Joshua etc. I do think his history shows we shouldn't automatically assume he will take those risky fights ...
