he could have been...if only cus stuck around longer....

cus developed tyson's style to deal with tall, long and rangy fighters...height and reach is nothing when your opponents head is buried in your chest...

    Exactly my thoughts.

But, I will say... P4P HW's of all time

    1. Joe Louis
    2. Ali
    3. Mike Tyson

errr.... there's no such thing as P4P Heavyweight lawlz.... that doesnt make any sense. Maybe you meant ATG?

And now peeps are making dream matches vs heavyweights which was not the intention of this thread, or makes it applicable in determining the best heavyweights concerning their era & competition...

My ATG Heavyweight ranking in order...
    #1 Muhammad Ali
    #2 Joe Louis
    #3 Rocky Marciano
    #4 Lennox Lewis
    #5 George Foreman
#6 Archie Moore (when he did Heavyweight stints)
    #7 Mike Tyson......

EASILY, by power-to-weight ratio, the most explosive/powerful puncher in boxing IMHO.

There's been some like (Foreman) rated to be a heavier puncher, but he had about 40lbs on him? Others had at least 20lbs? MT has the best Strength & Speed combo in the heavyweights too. His high hit ratio was due to his accuracy and speed of the delivery.

As one commentator had said "he hits with the speed of a Welterweight!".... Not sure if ive ever heard a compliment of speed like that concerning a powerful Heavyweight...

    No, but he could've been.

  8. Are you a ****ing idiot? Learn your boxing history *******. It's always young idiots who think Tyson was the greatest of all time.
Joe Louis,Ali,Foreman,Marciano,Dempsey,Holyfield,Holmes,Frazier,Lewis,Patterson, etc. are all better than Tyson to name a few. Learn the history. How can Tyson be the greatest if he lost most of his big legacy fights? Lost to Holyfield twice and Lennox Lewis. Lost 5 out of 6 times by KO. Never got up off the canvas after being floored. Please. Tyson was great for a time but not all time.

Must be a Joke thread? HELL NO!

  12. Ali would unravel the young angry Tyson before the fight. Ali would make fun of Tyson's height, his voice his everything. Ali might even joke about how he beat Patterson (Cus D'amato's other HW)

Ali took the harder shots from Foreman and Shavers for rounds. Tyson was basically a 5 round fighter with very few late KO's. His latest KO was in round 7. Tyson did not have the strength or stamina to last with ALI. Ali wins by late KO.

  13. Prime Tyson was 218-220 pounds and Prime Foreman was 225 pounds so how did Foreman have 40 pounds on Tyson? Old Foreman did but not prime Foreman. Either Foreman beats Tyson by the way. Young Foreman by KO5 and old Foreman by TKO8

well foreman was slow as **** and he gased himself out... Tyson is a much different fighter, fast powerfull, master at cutting off the ring.. Ali not big enough for him
