UFC is still in development. Go look at some of those black and white Boxing matches. They don't look ANYTHING like what we consider modern Boxing. That crap is nowhere near the current level of UFC, but more on par with the old 1996 random UFC.

Comparing UFC to Boxing is like comparing the world view of a 21 year old to a 50 year old. Sure the 50 year old's views are probably wiser, but is the comparison even valid?

Apples and oranges. The best standup from a spectator point of view is full muay thai, boxing has the history and prestige and mma is the most realistic.

Although i'm a boxer myself i would say that mma is more representative of combat and therfore a superior product, even though the ufc and it's press machine is ****ing laughable and the talent pool is in it's infancy.

Biggest fights Id still go with Boxing. For example any fight featuring Floyd or Pac. After those two MMA owns boxing.

In some ways, MMA is better. Well, in terms of how a fighter's career is built. An MMA fighter doesn't need 25 fights against bums before he enters the elite status. Also, if you have more than 5 losses, nobody will give a ****. Look at Alistair Overeem. He has 11 losses and he's considered to be the best heavyweight. 11 losses is a laughing stock in boxing.

Boxing is not perhaps the best way to win a fight, but boxing requires the most heart and guts.
so MMA is the easy way to be a fighter, therefore, middle-class white Americans are involved in it because it is a sport that does not require so much sacrifice.

Plenty of MMA fighters have heart and some dont. The same can be said of boxing aswell. So your jibe about colour and class just seem like bland prejudice you've probably pick up from another poster in the general because I dont credit you with the intelligence to come up with such a half arsed conclusion yourself. Unless you can prove me wrong

Same here, thats why I voted both options :D tho he never made it public so you`ll just have to take my word for it.

Anyway, currently UFC is more enjoyable than boxing.... why ?... the best fighters fight each other & dont take 3 yrs of schoolgirl bitching before making it happen.

    Over n out !

MMA the sport is more brutal but you can't say boxers are more skillful. MMA posses skill in striking, grappling, and submission. All boxers really know is how to defend and throw punches. I guess you can say boxers are more skillful at boxing, because that's as far as it goes. The best Mixed Martial Artist in the world are masters of at least one martial art. Not all Mixed Martial Artist can be considered masters in anything, just as Ricardo Mayorga is no master boxer.
