When comparing Usyk to previous great heavyweights or cruiserweights, how good do you think he would perform? I think he would pose a problem for any great.
He has elite skill and is a southpaw who moves like a Supermiddleweight. That's a problem in the HW division.
Anyone in history who hasnt got good speed of hand and foot, struggles mightly with Uysk. Thats alot of heavyweights.
He’s as skilled as you can get, no one is gonna have an easy time with him. Especially now since he’s proven to take a heavyweight punch very well.
Would like him to have more heavyweight fights before we do the HW H2H debates. 2 good wins vs AJ. If he beats Wilder and Fury and cleans the division that would be insane, given his size and coming up from CW
Well there hasn't been many Southpaw Heavyweights, and with Usyk's skills he would be a handful for most Heavyweights. Although I want to see a bit more of him at Heavyweight before I make final decision. As for Cruiserweight well it hasn't got a deep history, since the division was created in the 1980s. But realistically the only Cruiserweights who really push Usyk are Holyfield & Qawi.
Unpopular opinion maybe but I think the cruiserweight division has always been historically trash. Usyk was a huge cruiserweight who was clearly undergoing watercuts so coupled with his skills he blows them all away. Holyfield literally looks like a black nerd at cruiserweight before he turned into Ronnie Coleman. I know size isn't everything but it's like asking Usyk how he does against today's 175ers At heavyweight though I see A LOT of throwback fighters beating Usyk H2H because I don't think this amateurs-first Eastern European style works well against guys who cut their teeth fighting in clubs, bring a lot of grit and know the dark arts. I might be bias because I don't give a **** about amateurs boxing and prefer guys to go pro as early as possible, but stuff like Usyk getting roughed up by Chisora don't bode well for stepping in against guys from the past. As highly as I regard the AJ victories they were nevertheless against a self-confessed bodybuilder who can't go 12 rounds. One of the lasting impacts of the Klitschko era is that skill has taken a backseat to size north of 200
