Before I make a thread dissecting his resume I wanted to get the consensus on where people think Usyk stand.

Just for the record I think Usyk is a great fighter and I’m a big fan.

I added a **** off Ellerbe option for shits n giggles.

He is definitely a great fighter but has done very little to be rated so highly at heavyweight

He is the best or second best fighter in the world pound-for-pound (Rare for someone over 175) and the best or second best heavyweight in the world (Rare for a former cruiserweight). I can't see how he would be overrated except for identifying him as an all-time heavyweight kingpin, which is an exaggeration (and means none of your responses make sense except for **** off Ellerbe).

Usyks career before HW is one of the best boxing careers you'll find. Won everything there was to win. Never lost as a pro and a handful of loses as an amateur. Doesn't get much better than that. At CW he doesn't have a Holyfield level of win but still solid.

At HW, well how much stock do you put into the Joshua wins? Until he beats Fury, or if, that will determine who the best HW is we can t really say. Even a loss to Fury doesn't really take away what he has done in boxing. Just a career people dream about.

Overrated at Heavyweight yes theres people on this forum saying they would make him the favourite vs Prime Tyson, Prime Ali, which is absolutely ridiculous.

Hes had a grand total of 4 fights at Heavyweight, and only fought two notable names. One being a fringe contender in Chisora who he wasn't overly impressive against, the other against Joshua who hasn't been the same since the Ruiz loss and fights overly cautious now. The Joshua win was a solid win don't get me wrong, but I think people have gone a bit OTT just because of that.

Overall I'm not saying he couldn't do well vs past Heavyweights, but dear me we need to see a bit more evidence of him at Heavyweight first surely ?

    None of the options apply
He is not overrated as a fighter but he is at heavyweight therefore i cant answer yes or no
I dont agree with option 2
There is no way i would insult you like that ellerbie

It’s worth mentioning Usyk has fought everyone in their home country. He’s risked getting robbed against every top guy he’s fought.

Would Canelo, Fury, Crawford, Inoue, etc. do that? Of course not. Usyk is properly rated and should be P4P #1 in my personal opinion.

Fury won his titles on foreign ground, Wlad and Wilder.

Context is key. Why do you think Usyk didn’t fight in Ukraine? Why didn’t Wlad fight in Ukraine? Why didn’t Loma fight in Ukraine?

    Please use common sense.

Also hasnt Canelo won every title on foreign soil if we want to play that game?

That doesn't change the fact that he's fought travelling away nearly his entire career. The reason why is immaterial.

I think he's the clear #1 heavyweight right now, and if he manages to clean up Dubois, Fury and Wilder he will actually have a good all time legacy even at heavy. His skills are obvious

What about Canelo? He’s fought on foreign soil for most his meaningful fights right?

Lol at thinking Dubois is a credible win!

Before Tyson Fury and Wilder did fight and Joshua lost to Ruiz I believed it to be:

    1. Fury
    2. Wilder
    3. Joshua

I have always been thinking Wilder wins against Joshua.

Then Joshua lost to Ruiz and mentally he hasn’t been the same anymore.

Fury beat the #2 in Wilder in my opinion.

Then Usyk came along and beat Joshua. To me that’s not as good as Fury beating Wilder.

Also Joshua always looked the part, but how good is he really? Sure he did beat Klitschko but that was old Klitschko. Lost to Ruiz, and how good is Ruiz really? He has not done much more then that one win over Joshua.

Besides that Usyk is a very skilled boxer. But he is not exactly knocking everyone out. People can say yes but he is so skilled. Yeah well sure but there are and have been many very skilled fighters that did knock their opponents out.

Bottom line is I think Fury beats Usyk.
