He cannot be rated at all because he is with his 4 figths in hw still a mr nobody. He was great in cw - in hw we need to wait but he starts bad , choosing obvious bum fights and looking to cover it with nice words .
Usyk is not overrated , maybe overrated by some at HW , but he is P4P # 1 , so generally speaking he is underrated .
At heavyweight he is overrated, simply because he has only beaten a few heavyweights. That said, I suspect very few other than Fury would beat him.
Usyk is an ATG fighter. Proven his mettle winning in hostile territory his entire career. History will treat him better than some of you moaks.
Casuals throw around ATG was too lightly these days. He was undisputed in the most dead division in the sport, struggled to beat a washed chisora then outboxed a mentally shot AJ. He is even close to atg, he is overrated imo. He has good skills but his strength is is awkward movement against stiffs. I don't think he is anything really special tbh. Would not stand out in the 90s at all.
You are indeed in need of help. Serious help. He dominated a loaded CW division, perhaps the best ever, by winning on the road, something few other fighters, and no Americans, undertake. That in itsel is ATG status. On top of that in his third HW fight he takes out the British Adonis and picks up three belts, then repeats the win, in Joshua’s home turf. I’ve been watching the sport for 50 plus years, well before your mommy and dad had sex for the first time. Take a back seat boy.
No, he's not overrated. He's just as good as people say he is. If you're comparing him historically to other HWs, you can only make the argument that he's fought a limited number of HWs against any champ from around the 90s onwards. For the majority of guys in that division Usyk's CW fights certainly begin to count since they would have been considered HWs in the past. Joe Louis fought a ton of guy who wouldn't qualify as HWs today, and not even CWs. But you'll have people counting them as HW fights, and dismissing Usyk's entire CW run. Part of the endless double standard or modern vs old.
The CW division wasn't remotely weak during Usyk's run. It was possibly the best it's ever been, and stacked with guys who could hold their own with many HWs.
