Ali knocked out intimdating heavy hiting Foreman, Usyk cant knock out the glassed chinned 10 round bodybuilder.. People here thinking beating AJ is a big deal and makes Usyk the best HW since Ali? LMAO! This is the weakest ra in boxing by a mile. Look at Fury declaring himself the best ever because he beat limited Wilder and Wyhte. How long will AJ last with prime Tyson that fought Berbick / Spinks. I cant see AJ go more than 3 rounds at most. Tyson walks though him and smashs him up. First real punch Tyson lands AJ will be running for his life. AJ is not even in the top 100 HW's of all time, forget the belts, so how does Usyk beating AJ make him the best since Ali? This forum is full of dumb idiots who DKSAB.
he only beat 1 rated heavyweight (Joshua) & a plodder fringe gatekeeper (Chisora) & they were not complete ' shut out " wins to say he is best or most skillful since Ali this is stupid talk
Skill is subjective, you can't tell me Usyk was more skilled than a young Tyson or Holmes. He beat AJ twice but Michael Spinks beat an undefeated Holmes twice for the lineal title coming up from 175. Usyk is great but he hasn't really done anything impressive at HW to warrant such high praise.
Fury will beat Usyk and I believe Wilder also beats him . There was moments in the rematch where I just thought Wilder would no doubt be behind on points but he would stop him eventually .
Maybe I'm wrong for saying this but all this usyk is the greatest hype seems to be spouted by boxing fans from the eastern bloc, it's ridiculous. Usyk has fought 4 times at heavyweight what are you judging his greatness at heavyweight by?? All the fighters he has beat at heavyweight have been beaten far more convincingly by supposedly lesser fighters than him prior to him fighting them. Does that make Seth Mitchell David haye or Andy Ruiz candidates for greatest heavyweight? Of course not! Usyk has work to do at heavyweight before being considered amongst the greats and so does Fury
Hes the best p4p HW champ since Ali. I do not think hes a better HW than Lewis, Holmes or even Fury. But he ranks higher p4p all time.
I think when people use the term 'best ' at heavyweight though, it tends to be who would actually win in a fight, or who is the most accomplished (at the weight), best heavyweight legacy, ect.... and not who is theoretically better p4p. Since when do we start ranking heavyweights by how they rank p4p? Idk... first Ive really seen it. Seems a bit silly to me tbh. But ok Usyk likely isnt top 3 actual best since Ali, but hes probably the p4p best heavyweight since then, sure.
