Is Usyks greatness debatable?

One of the best/impressive defensive HW fighters I've seen, the way he slips, slides and parries shots is very impressive, very difficult to catch with a clean shot.

Still think he's being overrated though, but that happens when people get excited over a fighter doesn't it.

I think he'll struggle with fury.

As a CW it's not an argument; he is an ATG. Unless you bring Evander Holyfield into a discussion of "who is the BEST All Time CW". It's either Holy or Usyk as the Best ATG CW. But that doesn't diminish his standing as a CW ATG.

At HW, I don't see him as an ATG because he hasn't defeated any OTHER ATG. AJ is NOT an ATG, I mean maybe a UK ATG but
not a worldwide, historical ATG. If he defeats Fury then certainly he enters the top 10 ATG HW's. Otherwise, his HW resume is too
thin for me to declare him a HW ATG.

At this point in time, to me, this is a pretty simple question. He is an all-time great, if not THE all-time great cruiserweight. He has not done nearly enough at heavyweight to be considered an all-time great in that category but he certainly has the potential to rise to that level with more defenses and a few more high quality wins ... or what @FrankinDallas posted a minute before me.

Usyk would not be top ten in the 1980's. Jerry Quarry knocks him out in the first round.

Chris Byrd might of been more skilled than Usyk, although a better fighter than Usyk? that's hard to say

He's beat the best of two divisions minus Fury, who won't fight him. I don't think. it is debatable.

Not sure it is because statistically and by way of the eye test he is 2nd or 3rd best Cruiserweight in history. Kirk I think the real question is how great he is in this era. Having beaten AJ twice should he be able to beat Fury we would have to say he was the best heavyweight of his era as well. Time will tell.

The reason I agree is the gargantuan size difference. Fury is very skilled while being 60 pounds heavier. Would SRR beat Fury while being 60 pounds lighter? No way.

You want him to go smash 20 resume building tomato cans? He's not great just because he skipped that phase because he trusted his amateur experience??
