Yeah I don't get why people take issue with him being an ATG at HW or not when he's an ATG fighter period.
Usyk is a great fighter. The majority of the guys he beat weren't over the hill. Only about 2 of them I think.
You definitely want to stear clear of the idiots on the classic forum then. The amount of people on there that say all Uysk has done was beat Joshua twice is infuriating. They simply don't understand how difficult it is to 335-14 as an amateur or completely clean out a stacked CW division with almost every fight in his opponents home country. They just want to believe that 188 pound Rocky Marciano is a real heavyweight and Uysk is a joke. It's maddening how stupid some of those folks are.
Some good posters over there but the nostalgia bias is insane and often makes many of the others completely insufferable.
Usyk could rule for a few years if he gets past Fury which I think he will. Fury doesn't even want to be in the sport and has little thought of cementing a legacy. When Usyk hangs up he will be considered greater than Holyfield. My prediction.
Maybe some are. But most aren't. Matt McGrain started a Usyk beats Schmeling thread in 2017 in the Classic, and 67% agree with him. That speaks for itself.
You're right. There definitely are some good people over there and you are definitely one of them. I just couldn't believe how many guys were talking **** on Uysk after that performance. Too me, he is the most exciting heavyweight since Holyfield. Uysk is just so much fun to watch. He is a fighter's fighter for sure.
