no way a HW should be throwing that many punches in a fight, even a small one like him.... is this unprecedented in the HW division?
His punch output is high, but I do not think nearly the best. Ali & Frazier broke the record for HW blows, landed I believe, even without a 15th round. Ike vs. Tua broke that record in only 12. Tua was involved in another of near the highest output fight b4 he became more of a left hook power obsessed fighter. This record was obliterated by Kownacki vs. Arreola. Main difference is that the former landed more punches, especially power, but even Arreola landed a bit more than either guys yesterday-& both threw a lot more. Your task should you choose to accept it is to list where this fight falls historically in the top # of punches thrown for both man-or just Usyk since you focused on him here. It will not be near the very top. And if you look at the number of punches landed, 24%-clearly more important-it will be way further down the list. Usyk is great, but the performance of punches landed was not nearly unique. You may also consider how tough it was to land-AJ is considered stiff & robotic, a fairly huge target. It seems to me what most distinguishes Usyk are his brilliant strategies, being a southpaw, adaptability, movement, head & lateral, toughness... And concentration. It seems he rarely flags from his avidity to comeback & counterpunch.
