its certainly the only one where the claim that you rule the division is verified by resume

Noone else today does this in such an absolute manner, mtigated by CW being a slight subdivision but even so, its very good. He won every title outright no hand-ons or gifts, theyare actual title wins.

I wouldn't call CW a subdivision. The gap between CW and the next division up is relatively larger than any other division.

well it was really but it has fleshed out from its sordid roots for sure. Its pretty much close to the real thing now.

gaps are supposed to be bigger at higher divisions since they are based on proportional difference not arithmetic. If it didnt have the biggest one, there would be something amiss.

Probably. An element of this is down to manner of W’s. for example 2 x GGG wins on paper where many dispute both.

Tyson Fury has a better string of wins, if he can come through Charles Martin next he has cemented himself in the hall of fame.

Martin will be very hungry as well so makes him very dangerous.

    1. Not everyone does it.
    2. They're not contenders, 1 is an ATG CW with over 10 combined title defences, 5 of them were undefeated at the weight.
    3. He lost about 15 rounds across the fights.
Can you name a better run?

Because in today’s climate it’s rare for guys to fight top 5 opponents in their division back to back.. So when a guy goes on to defeat the other 4 top 5 guys in his division along with a top 7-8 (Bellew) then he has to be applauded for such consistency..

    1. because not everyone has to. if i beat loma at 135, i dont have to beat commey to prove im the man at 135.
    2. the jumble of belts means nothing, there is undoubtedly 1 man who will be better than the rest, once that is established, the rest is masturbation.
    3. mikey lost less than that across 4 divisions.
