Just wondering if anyone has seen many of his fights and what the general opinion of him is? Is he a genuine threat to the top dogs?

In short: Hes verry strong and hard hitting for his weight, but a bit slow for his weight. Hes kinda like a small Foreman. And hes tough as nails. a dangerous thread to everyone, but i think he could loose to a verry skilled good fighter. he hasnt faced some of them yet though, is still a bit unproven.
Just my 10.000 cents about him.

Valero is sparring with MAB to help prepare him for his upcoming fight with Paq.

    Don't doubt Valero's boxing ability.

Once again, did he ever actually spar with MAB? He got stabbed in the chest in Venezuela a week ago, I doubt he's cleared to spar yet after that.

It was in the boxing news. Someone attacked him.

He got a cut on the forehead.

They said it wasn't life-threatening (i.e. it didn't hit any major internal organs), but a stab's gotta get stitched up, and nobody's going to spar with stitches in.

I was wrong on an earlier comment though - he was slashed in the face, not stabbed in the chest. Still, probably not the best circumstances to get punched in the dome. Venezuelan media has said that he was "disfigured" by the knife wound. Nobody's seen him yet since the incident, so who knows exactly what that means.

I heard it was not that dramatic.
