Honestly what do you all feel because it seems to me for the last few years every chance Valuev has gotten he has expressed a desire to prove himself the best and fight Wladimir yet now Vitali has expressed a desire to face him and Wlad should be free after Povetkin providing he wins Valuev is instead making options to fight either Holyfield or Golota in December while neither of them are mandatories - so clearly this is something he is choosing, not being forced to do. We all know Vitali wants this fight and we all know he's ready for it now and would gladly fight next month given the chance & after years of shouting off Valuev appears to be doing a runner by choosing not to fight Vitali it appears to me. Valuev never was or is a great fighter,he lost vs Donald and Ruiz I and got gifts, always boring, could be beaten by the Klit bros, doesn't have power for such a big man and his skills aren't elite material.Only time I remember enjoying his fight is vs Barrett and that cuz of Monte's heart.Loved when Chagaev beat him.Hope Golota beats him too, don't think he will go for an Evander fight. And YES,he is a hypocrit
Valuev is as popular as Rydell Booker right about now....the only intrigue in a fight between him and Klitschko is whether the canvas will hold up when he gets KO'd.
He didn't just lose to Donald. He got his ass beat by four points on my card. And I watched it twice. But Valuev is fun to watch for the freak show. It is going to be something to see when he finally goes down. Personally, I thought he was getting ready to fall vs Ruiz in the middle of the fight. He was just sort of standing there taking some big shots flush. I think its lights out vs Wlad or Vitali and I think any accurate powerful heavy who is willing to have the guts to go for it, has a chance. I really don't care to see Valuev fight mandoes and get gifts or ride out close decisions. We need to see him fight one of the Klits. Who knows, maybe he can give them problems. We GOT to see him fight one of them it would be fun as hell.
He is a freak show period. He is 35 so we might not have the pleasure of seeing him go down.In my opinion he went down in the 2nd round vs Ruiz II and wasn't called a KD.But he won that one.Hope Vitali gets a shot at him and take him down.
He wants to milk a title as long as he can. His odds of beating Vitali would be extremely low, and he knows it.
