Is Valuev the worst ever?

    Following Harty's comments in the Sun about Valuev being the worst heavyweight champion ever.....

    How would Valuev go against the following alphabelt era champions:

    Francesco Damiani
    Tommy Morrison
    Michael Bentt
    Herbie Hide
    Bruce Seldon
    Henry Akinwande
    Chris Byrd
    Corrie Sanders
    Oleg Maskaev
    Shannon Briggs

    Clearly Valuev is at a H2H advantage - but can you say that he is a worse fighter than ALL of these?

    Even don't allow the WBO Heavyweight World Champions into the equation Valuev is far from being the worse.

    I'm yet to think of anyone worse than Carnera or Seldon to be honest...

    I agree Seldon might be the worst, Bentt and Akinwande are equally awful also.

    Not at all. He is too simple. He needs to force the fight more. He's a ****ing giant. He should stamp on people and throw them around.

    I'm reading Evander Holyfield's book ATM..... he was supposed to be the title defence replacement for Holyfield when Tyson got banged up.

    Went to see a sparring session, within a few hours was in passport control on his way home.

    Of course he isn't he beat John Ruiz twice and defended the title a few times how can he be the worst when you take that into consideration.

    I know it might sound strange to mention a fighter with a win over Muhammad Ali on his record but Leon Spinks is worth a mention. Aside from a shot to pieces Ali, who beat him in the rematch, and a half decent Mercado his record is awful.

    correct...people think of canera too much when they think of him...its an obvious comparison, but valuev got where he was on proper unfixed results.
