Definitely chicken **** the way Lopez wouldn’t give Loma a rematch. And if you watch that fight closely… the vast majority of Lopez’s shots were only hitting Loma’s gloves. Loma landed way more flush shots than Lopez did.

H2H you could put 130 Prime Loma in the ring with ANYONE in history and he’d be a problem. That’s a fact. The whole ranking thing… who knows. It’s all subjective anyway. But 130 Loma was awesome.

 

No Lopez clearly beat Loma.

Averaging 10 punches thrown a round for half the fight and then losing the 12th round big you can't really have much complaints about the decision.

 

Lopez beat Loma 7-5 IMO but you could tell Loma was injured. Should have been a rematch.

Exactly this. The Loma haters know this as well but they chose to ignore it. If everything was above board Loma would be an undefeated multi weight champion with wins over Haney, Lopez and Salido to be world champion in his second pro fight. If he got the just decision over Haney I have no doubt that he would've gone on to beat Shakur in his next fight.

 

Loma is a great fighter and he recognises greatness. Maybe Floyd haters will not like this, but it's true. His dsefence is otherworldly and even someone as talented as loma would need time to explain on how to penetrate it
