He was a great fighter IMO cut down by injuries and arriving on the scene a little too late. A pretty bland and boring fighter, but an insane amount of talent.
Not forgotten by me. And "bland and boring" aren't adjectives I'd ever use to describe him. He was in too many entertaining s****s for that in my eyes. :smoke
The most interesting thing is, at his best, I think Vernon could have defeated all 4 of those guys you listed (with him already having decisively beaten an absolute peak Shane twice). :smoke
Yea I agree. His Jab would've been a nightmare for Floyd and he was too big for PAC.Tito an ODLH would've been interesting
just watched Vernon Forest vs Mayorga what a war its amazing how Mayorga didnt dropped at all he ate some bombs
Would have loved to see those fights too. People tend to think he wasnt that good because of his losses to Mayorga and Mora, but he was certainly a Great WW thats for sure. He reminded me alot of a young Hitman Hearns. :rasta
I think Vernon Forrest style is what it would have taken to beat Floyd. I have posted it here before. Would have love to see that fight.
Kostya Tszyu amateur fight Beating #1 P4P Champion twice Losing twice vs Ricardo Mayorga Fought Sergio Mora twice evened The first openly Al Haymon fighter Ike Quartey & Winky Wright liaison Died confronting an armed criminal
I'll never forget his wars with Mora. To overcome that snaky slickness in the rematch was something not just any old fighter could do.
