Is his legacy too attached to his two wins over Mosley? The next best fighter he faced besides Mosley was Quartey and he clearly lost that one but got the gift decision. Please vote.
I'm going to say he is just about where he is supposed to be. He has surgery on both shoulders and fought a lot of his "prime" years in very bad pain, so they say. If anything I think he could potentially be underrated, but I'm going to vote in the poll as, No.
No he clearly had great skills, and could have been a great fighter without the shoulder injuries. he beat mayorga in the rematch with one hand, should have gotten the decision. if u watch the quartey fight without sound he won that fightly clearly but closely. ike used innaffective aggression, forrest landed combos and hurt him twice. forrest will beat mora in a rematch if he trains, unlike last time, he thought he woulld blast him out in the first few rounds. he could still make it in the hall of fame if he gets a couple of good wins.
Yes he is. He is a top 10 ranked fighter, but not an elite. Granted he beat Mosley but he hasnt done **** since those wins, and prior to those wins he struggled with Raul Frank.
He's 37 years old ... besides that, I believe to first loss to Mayorga had affect his confidence as well as playing a role in his disappearance a couple years back. It's the same with Shane Mosley, both of them are very gifted fighters but for some reason they just don't show up for every round.
I guess what i meant to say was, "Is another fighter's claim to fame as much the result of his win over one fighter as Forrest is over Mosley?" I can't think of another right now.
