You need to stop believing that promoting the career of a fighter who fought out a lot of his career outwith the major networks makes you a more knowledgable fan than anyone else. It doesn't. Darchinyan's early career in no way helps his case for HOF inclusion. If you understood boxing, you would already know this. atsch I am not a fan of Wonjongkam, so mentioning him is irrelevant and means nothing to me. My current favourite fighter is Manny Pacquiao (HOF). I also like Victor Ortiz (non-HOF).
And you're one of the most immature, pointless, braindead posters I've seen on this forum. Well done! :good
That was pretty much the case I was making about you. :blood You call Mijares and Perez top tier wins but dismiss wins over Pacheco and Rojas as nothing.
Psst... it is a good analogy, because an analogy is not the same as a comparison. I wasn't saying that either Ward or Pendleton were similar to Darchinyan, I was saying that fighting top comp doesn't mean you gain HOF entry, and that point is correct. Frazier's "1" is possibly the greatest win in heavyweight history. Darchinyan's best win is over Cristian Mijares. That was a terrible analogy. atsch
I don't dismiss them as nothing, but when I refer to wins over top fighters I only mention... wins over top fighters. Neither Pacheco nor Rojas were ever in the same bracket as the likes of Donaire and Mijares when Vic fought them.
Why would a Donaire fan hate Darchinyan you imbecile?? Donaire knocked Darchinyan the **** out!!! atsch
Donaire was 2 leagues below rojas & pacheco accomplishment wise when Darchinyan fought him. Donaire's career only soared AFTER he beat Darchinyan.
The only point of the analogy was to demonstrate that you need to consider things in context. It did that perfectly, because you immediately started to consider the context, and as such was a fine analogy. I'm getting the feeling, along with others here, that you are being argumentative for it's own sake.
A lot of them do. Remember, Vic's career skyrocketed after Donaire beat him, while Donaire's was pretty ****. A lot of Donaire's fans were bitter as **** about that, and have not forgotten it. I honestly think you have been wrong on just about every point you have tried to make. That's a great effort.
You don't fight someones' accomplishments, you fight their ability. Donaire was earmarked for greatness from early on in his career, he was an excellent fighter then and he's an excellent fighter now, far better than Pacheco or Rojas ever were.
