No. He's just an ordinary unskilled fighter.

 

I don't know why you hate Donaire so much and you overlooked his accomplishments. The guy is virtually undefeated except for some freak loss in his early career. His sterling performance of knocking out Darchi earned him a pound for pound ranking and capturing two bantam titles from highly rated Montiel via spectacular KO has given him respect from most boxing pundits. He has btw the most avoided boxer in the flyweight division.

 

I'm a big Vic fan and think HOF easy, top 100 atg might be pushing it, but he has achived a lot for a guy many say has no skills, one punch, no defence etc etc

Trotting out the names of the least deserving HOF entrants of all-time has always been and will always be the weakest possible argument for another undeserving candidate.

 

Donaire was nothing before he beat Vic. Nothing. Why do you think it was considered such a huge upset?

And Darch is HOF. No 2 ways about it. You can claim all you want that he has no wins of real weight, but his resume is good enough to get him in without much argument. Like others have said, lesser fighters have got in without backlash, why shouldn't Darch?

 

He should make the HOF, borderline first ballot. I have no idea what the top 100 should look like though. Whether he's the 120th best or the 87th best, I have no clue.

 

There are dozens of Flyweights and bantams who deserve to get in before Darchinyan.

Overrated fighter in a weak decade for the little guys.

 

Vic is a poor man's Gatti. He's got no skills and overrated power too. Slow as molasses too. Yes he is exciting but Gatti gave 100x more exciting fights.

Also Gatti is by far more popular.

Gatti is not top 100 and Gatti >>>>> Darchinyan.

I am not hating. I like the guy, he is good for the sport.

But he can't carry Gatti's jock strap at this point and Gatti is not that great. So Vic getting inside top 100 is a long shot, unless he is your boyfriend or something.

As far as being popular? No, he can't.

As far as achievements? Yeah he can.
