Why do you guys still rate The Ring that high anyway?Since Oscar bought it it's corrupt itself.

I hear ya', your points are valid. But IMO, when it comes to the one loss he'd has in his last 5 fights, it's the nature of it that doesn't kill him in the ratings. He got one shot popped, instead of getting owned for 9-10 rounds and getting beat down. He was doing well against Donaire before he got caught, and Donaire has gone on to look good too (so that helps Vic in a way).

I think he could slide in there at 10 with the way he's improved so much in the last few fights.

Personally, I don't rate it much at all. I was just pointing out that the way Darchinyan is seen here on ESB is not quite the same way he is seen "out there", and I pointed to an influential, much trusted and quoted source, which responds to as well as forms opinion.

No, he dominated him. That was a comprehensive schooling including a one hit KO. Darchinyan's power didn't do **** for him that fight.

But ya, Darchinyan deserves to be in the top 10.

If he wasnt already I dont see why beatin Arce moves him that much up...If people didnt want to put him in there after beating Mijares then I dont see why he should be in there just because he beat past prime Arce.

I couldnt see him any higher than 9 at the moment...But Id probably have him about 10.

Darchinyan's success is mostly based upon his power at his weight class. When I think of P4P guys I think of boxers who could outbox someone possibly along with having good power.

Would Darchinyan have unnatural power at heavyweight and be able to create openings with his boxing to bring down a heavyweight if he was one?

If you could equalize all the current fighters at one weight class, I don't think Darchinyan would be a pound for pound fighter. I think he would get outboxed a lot.

I dont really get your justification..P4p rankings should be above all results based. Who you beat and how you beat them.
Vic has cleaned out his division and had a respectable reign in another.

A fighter like Israel Vasquez for instance would get beaten easily by most of the top 20 p4p when you are talking about a H2H matchup.
Though I think he is a little overrated Izzy has the resume to back up his ranking, even if it is a little high in some people's lists.

Vic is dominate and destructive in his weight division...That would more than likely be the same if he was blown up into a heavyweight and so was the rest of his division.

    he is easily top ten.

the guy is undisputed king of his division and smacked mijares silly who was probably no.5.
