i was thinking the other day and i was wondering why Vic hasnt demanded a rematch with the man who knocked him out, personally i think he is ducking him but i would be intrested to see what you guys think
no. Vic doesnt duck no one ,the guy to blame is his promoter that fat **** Gary Shaw, hes pissed cause Donaire dumped his ass and now hes bitter and doesnt want to make the fight.
No but that fat piece of **** Gary Shaw is though...I think Vic wants to redeem himself agianst Donaire but Gary Shaw doesnt wants any parts of Donaire. He uses the bull**** excuse about Donaire not being loyal to him (Shaw) so he is trying everything in his nature to block the fight between the two! **** is pathetic on Gary Shaw's part!:-(
Naw it's more Gary Shaw's bitchness. He obviously doesn't want to risk his cash cow so he's doing everything in his ability to keep the fight from happening. IT's business.. **** him though, he's a scum bag for what he did to Chico and Donaire.
You should watch boxing, listen to interviews and read news before posting such a thing. -Vic beat better competition than Donaire (Mijares), and other two champions (Kirilov, Arce) since the loss -he unified the SFW division for the first time in it's history -Donaire did absolutely nothing, but scoring a win over Darchinyan leftover Maldonado -Vic keeps saying in interviews that he wants the Donaire rematch, and not only that, but even bigger threats, like Agbeko, Montiel or the great Vazquez in higher divisions -Donaire's manager called off Nonito-Martinez. Do you feel Donaire is ducking Martinez?
i know he has aid in interviews he wants the rematch and i know that shaw has said he wont rematch him but it still hasnt happend. talk is cheap if he wants the rematch as much as he said he does it should take place regardless of what his promoter says.
Shaw, Arum, TV interest, whatever the reason, there's no other example in recent years how the loser went on cracking into the P4P top10 and international popularity, while the winner happened to do so little, that he's now forgotten, or remembered as a Buster Douglas. It's a shame, and not Donaire's fault, as he'd tell you. But talk is cheap. What has he done since his HUGE win to generate more interest, popularity and the right to call out one of the top fighters today? He should fight quality opponents regardless of what his promoter(s) say.
Yes, BigBone's valid comments aside. Vic will never be great unless he avenges his loss, otherwise people will call him a cowared....And you should add a poll.
so if he goes on and beats Izzy,Rafa Marquez,Juanma and a couple of other great fighters,he will not be considered a great cause of one loss. yeah that makes a lot of sense :nut
How's that? He beat a better boxer (Mijares) and a better puncher (Arce) than Donaire for better recognition (undisputed SFW title, P4P top10 position). I'd really like to see the rematch, so does Vic, but I wouldn't mind getting Agbeko, Montiel for the 3rd division title, or a little men's war vs. Izzy Vazquez instead, all historically more significant and better paying fights than Donaire. If greatness is denied unless you avange all your losses, there are just a few great fighters in the history of boxing.
Arce is a better puncher than Donaire? Are you kidding me? Arce was a good win for Vic, but its obvious how much Arce has fallen out of his prime. His punches in that fight doesn't even have half the pop nor the bad intentions he had in his prime. No way is Arce of today a better puncher than Donaire. Mijares might be a better "boxer" than Donaire, but I don't think he's the better "fighter" IMO. But yeah to answer the TS, Vic is NOT ducking Donaire. He wants Nonito more than anybody. Everything should be blamed to his ******* promoter Gary Shaw for not making it happen.
